DRAFTSMAN (under Contract of Service)

Qualifications

Education: BS Architecture or BS Civil Engineering
Experience: None Required
Training: None Required
Eligibility: None Required (RA 1080 for courses requiring Board or BAR Eligibility)

Compentencies:

Possess a strong knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Lumion and Enscape.

Ma'am Lora L. Yusi Leaves a Lasting Impact at ASCOT as Colleagues Express Appreciation for Her Inspirational Leadership

In a brief span of five months, Ma'am Lora L. Yusi, DPA, has left an indelible mark as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) College President of the Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT). Colleagues are expressing their heartfelt gratitude for her noteworthy contributions as she bids farewell to her current role.

Executive assistant, Geena Rose Avendano, reflecting on Ma'am Lora's tenure, notes her meticulous approach to document procedures. She states, "Ma’am Lora is exceptionally strict with documents, very meticulous, yet remarkably considerate when it comes to family matters." Lester Drew Dumandal, also from Office of the President, emphasizes Ma'am Lora's impartiality when addressing problems, saying, "Ma’am Lora carefully listens to both sides when discussing issues; she doesn't take sides hastily."

Cynthia Macose values Ma'am Lora's calm demeanor and inspiring leadership, especially as a female figure. She remarks, "Ma’am Lora, being a woman, remains calm and consistently encourages those around her." Atty. Karl Olivar affectionately describes her as a favorite aunt, saying, "Ma’am Lora is like a favorite tita you always seek." Sir Joseph acknowledges the uniqueness of Ma'am Lora's appointment
as an outsider in a position typically held by a Vice President.

Dr. Jay Amon eloquently captures Ma'am Lora's essence, interpreting "LORA YUSI" as Lundayan (Sanctuary), Oportunidad (Opportunity), Regalo (Gift), Aral (Learning), Yakap (Embrace), Ugnayan (Connection), Susi (Key), and Inspirasyon (Inspiration).

In her farewell message, Ma'am Lora expresses gratitude for the brief yet impactful time spent at ASCOT, deeming it one of the best experiences of her life. She remains dedicated to ASCOT, harboring no regrets about her association with the institution. She envisions ASCOT reaching new heights and emphasizes the importance of happiness, helpfulness, and unity for the institution to thrive.

Encouraging innovation, creation, and connection as keys to success, Ma'am Lora underscores the significance of meaningful relationships within the ASCOT community. She warmly invites legislators to connect with ASCOT, emphasizing that greatness is a collaborative effort.

Stepping down from her role, Ma'am Lora urges everyone to focus on one direction: love. She believes that love will guide ASCOT through any challenges that may arise.

The send-off party to commemorate Ma'am Lora L. Yusi's time as ASCOT's OIC College President promises to be a heartfelt affair filled with appreciation for her dedication, wisdom, and positive influence on the ASCOT community.

January 30, 2024: Casper Jay Ortiz, President of the ASCOT Alumni Association, proudly took the oath as an official member of the ASCOT Board of Trustees. CHED Commissioner Ronald L. Adamat presided over the oath-taking ceremony.

As a new member of the ASCOT BOT, he exercised his right by casting his vote in the recently concluded ASCOT Presidential Election.

ASCOT looks forward to the valuable contributions of Mr. Ortiz as part of the Board of Trustees, enhancing the connection between the institution and its alumni.

𝘍𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘺 2, 2024, 𝘉𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘢𝘭𝘭- President Dr. Renato G. Reyes of ASCOT, participated in the CHED Smart Program Check Awarding ceremony held at Baler Municipal Hall.

Led by Congressman Rommel Rico T. Angara, the program extends financial aid to students for recovery transactions, providing support for their educational journey amid challenging times. The event, graced by the presence of CHED-III Regional Director and former ASCOT OIC President Lora L. Yusi, DPA, featured her message emphasizing the commitment to supporting students and ensuring the success of initiatives like the CHED Smart Program in promoting accessible education.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: President Renato G. Reyes' Inaugural Flag Ceremony at ASCOT

𝘍𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘺 5, 2024- ASCOT's 6th President, Dr. Renato G. Reyes, shared an optimistic perspective during his first flag ceremony at the ASCOT Zabali (Main) Campus.

“Tinititigan ko ang bawat isa at nakikita ko na bawat isa ay puno ng pagasa. Dapat lang ay punung-puno tayo ng pagasa para maharap natin ng maayos ang bukas”, expressed Pres. Reyes.

He outlined his strategic plans for ASCOT, highlighting the importance of establishing connections and partnerships with stakeholders from academia, non-government organizations, and the private sector. Encouraging productivity, he urged everyone, "There's always time for everything. While waiting for that time, do something productive."

The flag-raising ceremony was graced by the presence of Dionisio G. Alvindia, PhD., Director of the Philippine Center for Post-Harvest Development and Mechanization (Philmech), and Atty. Gian Carlo Bumanlag, both expressing their support for their colleague, President Reyes and his vision for ASCOT.

𝘍𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘺 6, 2024- ASCOT President Renato Reyes designated Dr. Ma Luz F. Cabatan and Engr. Oscar C. Barawid,PhD as acting Vice Presidents, pending approval from the ASCOT Board of Trustees (BOT).

Dr. Ma Luz F. Cabatan,Professor VI, now assumes the role of Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs. With a rich history at ASCOT, Dr. Cabatan's journey began as the Executive Assistant to the college's first president. Over the years, she has held various roles within the institution, including Director of Production and Research. Her expertise extends to both undergraduate and graduate programs, where she serves as a professor, researcher, and extensionist. She currently leads two externally-funded projects at the college, marking her third term as VPAA under different presidencies.

Meanwhile, Engr. Oscar C. Barawid, PhD, Professor V, brings a wealth of experience to his role as acting Vice President for Administration, Planning and Finance. Having held diverse positions within ASCOT, including Motorpool Supervisor, Program Area Chair, Planning Officer, and Department of Engineering Director, Engr. Barawid's contributions have been invaluable. His previous tenure as VP for Planning, and Finance saw significant infrastructure developments across the college's three campuses.

ASCOT and Tanggol Kalikasan Sign MOU for Environmental Protection

𝘍𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘺 7, 2024 - ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes, and Atty. Ma. Ronely D. Bisquerra-Sheen of Tanggol Kalikasan (TK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, launching the Environmental Justice Sector Reform Project at Juan C. Angara Accreditation Hall, ASCOT Zabali ASCOT.��

Witnessed by DILG-Aurora Representatives, ASCOT faculty and students, the event underscores ASCOT's commitment to environmental preservation. �

Dr. Reyes emphasized the importance of stewardship, expressing gratitude to Tanggol Kalikasan and the DILG-Aurora for their proactive efforts.

"Ngayong umaga, ipinaaabot namin ang aming intensyon na pangalagaan ang ating kalikasan. Kailangan natin ipagtanggol ang kalikasan. Sa mga estudyante na nandito ngayon, kayo ang mga stewards para protektahan ang ating kalikasan dito sa Aurora. Panatilihin nating maganda ang Aurora. "

"Tanggol Kalikasan is committed to securing the long-term preservation of local community natural resources. To achieve this objective, we implement capacity building initiatives and partner with SUCs to offer orientation during leadership transitions. The Institute of Environmental Governance (IEG) plays an important role in preserving environmental assets, with TK aiming to establish IEG presence in all provinces. SUCs will be instrumental in bringing this vision to fruition." Atty. Bisquerra-Sheen expressed in her message.

Meanwhile, the DILG-Aurora Provincial Director Ener P. Cambronero, CESO V conveyed his message through LGOO II Clarissa Hess, expressing full support for the program.
"As you are providing this noble program to our community, DILG expresses its full support in your mission to provide avenues for environmental protection and in providing technical assistance and capacity development to our local government units.
A big congratulations for the realization of this partnership."

This collaboration aims to protect Aurora's natural resources and ensure a sustainable future.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: ASCOT Recognized for Success in Extension Programs

Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) received a plaque of recognition for its steadfast commitment and valuable contributions to the implementation of extension programs in Central Luzon by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) . The award ceremony was held during the "GABI NG PAGKILALA: Tatlumpu't Pitong Taong Matagumpay na Serbisyong Ekstensyon sa Gitnang Luzon" on February 7, 2024, at ATI-RTC III San Ramon, Dinalupihan, Bataan.

ASCOT President Dr. Renato G. Reyes, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the institution. The recognition acknowledges ASCOT's pivotal role in the success of various extension initiatives, positively impacting the lives of agricultural extension workers, farmers, and fishermen across the region.

The event, coinciding with the 37th anniversary of the Agricultural Training Institute, aimed to foster unity, support, and shared purpose among extensionists and stakeholders in agriculture and fisheries throughout Central Luzon.

With President Reyes are co-awardees, PSAU President Dr. Anita G. David, and BASC President Dr. Jameson H. Tan.
