The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), as the welfare arm of the Provincial Government, develops, administers, and implements comprehensive social welfare programs and services

designed to uplift the living conditions and improve the quality of life of distressed and disadvantaged individuals, groups, families, and communities for them to become self-reliant and participating members of our society. Pursuant to the Local Government Code of the Philippines otherwise known as the Republic Act No. 7160 which provides the devolution of social services and programs to the Local Government Units and as stipulated in Section 17 of the same article, LGUs shall provide social welfare services, which include programs and projects for women, children, elderly and persons with disability, as well as vagrants, beggars, street children, juvenile delinquents, and victims of drug abuse. The PSWDO to keep abreast with these developmental concerns take charge of the delivery of social welfare and development services and shall guarantee the social protection of the welfare rights of the people of Aurora and promote social development.

Bilang pakikibahagi sa regular na isinasagawang Linis Aurora, sama-samang nagsagawa ng paglilinis ang mga kawani ng Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Provincial Nutrition Action Office (PNAO), at Provincial Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), kasama ang mga residential facilities/centers.

Bilang bahagi ng gawain, inayos ang mga dokumento at file sa opisina upang maging mas organisado, habang isinagawa rin ang sabayang paglilinis ng mga opisina at kapaligiran.

Ang simpleng gawaing ito ay sumasalamin sa ating sama-samang pananagutan sa pagpapanatili ng isang malinis, maayos, ligtas, at produktibong lugar ng trabaho.

Isinagawa ang pamamahagi sa 220 benepisyaryo mula sa Dinalungan (41) at Casiguran (179), na tumanggap ng โ‚ฑ3,000.00 bawat isa, na may kabuuang halagang โ‚ฑ660,000.00.

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) facilitated the 1st Provincial Meeting of the Federation of Senior Citizen Association of the Philippines (FSCAP) Region III โ€“ Aurora Chapter on July 30, 2026, at Maria Aurora, Aurora.

The meeting served as a venue to discuss important updates, strengthen coordination among senior citizens' organizations across the province, and reinforce collaborative efforts in promoting the welfare, rights, and well-being of older persons in Aurora.

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), successfully conducted the Awarding of Cheques to beneficiaries of the Sustainable Livelihood, Skills and Employment Project (SLSEP) โ€“ Family Enterprise in Dingalan, Aurora.

A total of โ‚ฑ90,000.00 in livelihood assistance was awarded to qualified beneficiaries to support the establishment and expansion of their family enterprises, helping strengthen household income and promote self-reliance.

Through initiatives like SLSEP, the government continues to empower communities by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and improving the quality of life of Auroran families.

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) Aurora, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), successfully conducted the Project LAWA at BINHI Orientation in the municipalities of Maria Aurora, Dipaculao, Casiguran, Dinalungan, and Dingalan.

The activity equipped participating LGUs and stakeholders with the knowledge and guidance needed for the effective implementation of the project while promoting disaster resilience, environmental conservation, and sustainable community development.

A Tree Planting Activity was also conducted as a symbol of the shared commitment to protecting the environment and building more resilient communities.

Together, we continue working toward a greener, safer, and more resilient Aurora.

The Aurora GEMS (Aurora Gender Empowered Movers of Society) participated in the Siempre Aurora Trade Fair, organized by the Provincial Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (PLEDIPO) in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), held from July 1โ€“4, 2026, at MarQuee Mall, Pampanga.

The four-day trade fair served as a platform for members of Aurora GEMS to showcase and promote locally made products crafted by women entrepreneurs from Aurora. It also provided access to a wider market, enabled participants to connect with prospective buyers, and highlighted the quality, creativity, and craftsmanship of products developed through community-based livelihood initiatives.

Through initiatives such as this, the Provincial Government of Aurora continues to support women's economic empowerment by promoting entrepreneurship, sustainable livelihoods, and market opportunities for locally made products beyond the province.

On the second day, trainees attended a ๐—ฃ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—น๐—›๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜๐—ต ๐—ข๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป to enhance their awareness of healthcare benefits and services. This was followed by a series of ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ ๐—ง๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜ ๐—–๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€, where trainees showcased the competencies they had acquired through their respective training courses. The Foundation Day celebration reflected the PEACE Training Center's commitment to developing skilled, confident, and productive individuals through quality training, practical experience, and values formation. It also served as an opportunity to recognize the talents and dedication of the trainees as they prepare for future employment and livelihood opportunities.
