The Philippine Coast Guard – Coast Guard Station Aurora (CGS Aurora) informs all fisherfolk, mariners, vessel operators, and the general public of the reported disappearance of the fishing motor banca (𝐅𝐁𝐂𝐀) "𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀" (𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞, 𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐥𝐮𝐞) along the shoreline of Brgy. Aplaya Malaki, Dingalan, Aurora.

𝐎𝐧 𝟎𝟔 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at approximately 1310H, Coast Guard Sub-Station Dingalan (CGSS Dingalan) received a report from Mrs. Maria Elena Mallo, 36 years old and a resident of Brgy. Aplaya, Dingalan, Aurora, stating that her fishing motor banca "ELENA" was no longer at its anchorage along the shoreline of the said barangay.

𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫, the fishing motor banca had been securely anchored along the shoreline of Brgy. Aplaya, Dingalan, Aurora on the previous day. She further stated that a watchman, identified only by the 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐬 "𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐲," had been onboard the fishing banca at the time it was last anchored.

At approximately 0700H on 06 August 2026, the owner discovered that both the fishing motor banca and its watchman were missing. Only the fishing banca anchor remained at the original anchorage, indicating that the motor banca had likely drifted away or become separated from its anchor.

This station urges all mariners, fisherfolk, and vessels navigating within the vicinity and adjacent coastal waters to maintain heightened vigilance and immediately report any sighting of the subject fishing banca or any information that may assist in the ongoing search and monitoring efforts.
