On World Population Day, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) recognizes the importance of reliable population statistics in understanding our communities and guiding evidence-based planning for the nation's future.

The results of the 2024 Census of Population help guide decisions on health, education, housing, employment and social services - ensuring that programs and policies respond to the needs of every Filipino and individuals residing in the Philippines.

As we celebrate World Population Day, let us continue to value official statistics as a vital foundation for inclusive and sustainable development.

Happy World Population Day!

The Aurora Provincial Population Office - Gender and Development and the Population Development (PopDev) headed by its focal person Mr. Bryan C. Viloria, PPW-II under the supervision of Dra. Myrna P. Nicer, PGDH-PHO/OIC-PPO join the world in celebration of World Population Day tomorrow, July 11, 2026.

The celebration offers a chance to increase awareness regarding population and development, health, gender equity, human rights, and social inclusion.

This year, under the theme "Realizing the hopes and aspirations of young people for their futures", the celebration seeks to explore how young individuals are adapting to a swiftly evolving and unpredictable world and their influence in defining rights, resilience, and future directions.

Grasping the ambitions of young individuals is crucial for promoting inclusive and sustainable progress. Their aspirations for education, employment, relationships, mental health, family dynamics, and community involvement are influenced by the opportunities and limitations they encounter. Empowering young people necessitates creating an environments that provide access to quality education, fair job opportunities, health services and information, social safety nets, and the liberty to make knowledgeable choices regardless of their gender and status in life because investing in their future is our main goals.

Tayo'y magsama-sama sa paglikha ng mga plataporma para sa mga kabataan anuman ang kanilang kasarian at estado sa buhay ating pagnilayan ang kanilang mga pag-asa at pangarap dahil ang Kabataan ang Puso ng Pag-unlad!

The Aurora Provincial Population Office - Gender and Development headed by its focal person Mr. Bryan C. Viloria, PPW-II in coordination and collaboration with the focal person of Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP), Ms. Marites A. Liwanag, PPW-I under the supervision of Dra. Myrna P. Nicer, PGDH-PHO/OIC-PPO conduct the Responsible Parenting Movement and Family Planning Classes held today July 08, 2026 at Barangay Hall of Barangay Buhangin in Baler, Aurora.

The program were attended by 15 couples from the community. The discussion focuses on the following topics:

✔️Overview of Responsible Parenting Movement and Family Planning
✔️Responsible Parenting
✔️Building Positive with my Adolescent
✔️Ways to Get Along with my Adolescent
✔️Family Relationship
✔️Home Management
✔️Fertility Awareness, Human S*xuality and Family Planning

In his inspirational message, Governor Isidro Pimentel Galban emphasized the important roles and responsibilities of the parents in building positive relationship within families in the community.

It consists of roles assigned to people by society because of their being male or female. However, it is also culturally determined roles and expectations ascribed to a man and a woman.

Look: The Aurora Provincial Population Office - Gender and Development headed by its focal person Mr. Bryan C. Viloria, PPW-II under the supervision of Dra. Myrna P. Nicer, PGDH-PHO/OIC-PPO was attend the GAD Focal Point System - Technical Working Group (GFPS-TWG) Meeting on the Review and Distribution of the GAD Fund held today June 29, 2026 (1:30 PM) at Training Hall, Annex Bldg., Capitol Compound.

The said meeting focuses on the following agenda:

✔️Review of the approved GAD Plan and Budger (GPB) for FY 2027;
✔️Deliberation on the allocation and distribution of the GAD Fund;
✔️Identification and prioritization of GAD activities, program and projects;
✔️Other Matters

In the end, the Aurora Provincial Population Office - Gender and Development come up with its approved GAD Fund for FY 2027 with the total amount of Php 1,734,500.00.

One of the flagship initiatives of this office is the conduct of KATROPA training known as (Kalalakihang Tapat sa Responsibilidad at Obligasyon sa Pamilya), a program exclusively for the men aimed at motivating them to be accountable fathers, supportive partners, and champions of family health within their communities. KATROPA offers men chances to gain knowledge about responsible parenting, family dynamics, reproductive health, and positive fathering.
