On July 2, 2026, Emilia L. Malabanan Integrated School successfully conducted its General Assembly on School Safety and Security, uniting students, Homeroom PTA Officers, GPTA Officers, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and valued stakeholders in reaffirming the school's commitment to providing a safe, secure, and learner-centered educational environment.

The activity was spearheaded by the School Principal, Dr. Rolando Jr. M. Magpantay, whose leadership and dedication continue to strengthen the culture of safety and preparedness within the school community. The school extends its deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation to all the distinguished speakers and partners for generously sharing their knowledge and expertise: Mrs. Gloria Toledo-Paz (DILG - MLGOO VI), PMJ Danilo Manalo, Jr., Chief of Police, Mrs. Aileen J. Demonstrating a strong commitment to disaster preparedness and school safety, ELMIS successfully participated in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED). The activity brought together learners, parents, particularly the PTA Officers and the school's teaching and non-teaching personnel, facilitated by the SDRRM Coordinator, Sir Albert M. Umali in a coordinated effort to practice proper earthquake response procedures and emergency evacuation protocols.

The drill served as an opportunity to reinforce the importance of preparedness and collective responsibility in ensuring the safety of the school community. Participants actively practiced the β€œDuck, Cover, and Hold” technique and orderly evacuation procedures, highlighting the value of readiness during emergencies. ELMIS extends its sincere appreciation to the parents, PTA Officers, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and all stakeholders whose cooperation contributed to the successful conduct of the drill, fostering a culture of safety, resilience, and preparedness.

Prior to the conduct of the school earthquake drill, ELMIS facilitated a students’ orientation on earthquake preparedness through an informative video presentation. The activity was initiated by School Principal I, Dr. Rolando Jr. M. Magpantay, in collaboration with the School DRRM Coordinator, Mr. Albert M. Umali, to ensure that learners are well-informed and prepared for emergency situations.

The video presentation provided students with essential knowledge on earthquake hazards, safety precautions, and the proper actions to take before, during, and after an earthquake, including the β€œDuck, Cover, and Hold” technique. Following the orientation, available hard hats were distributed to learners as part of the school's safety and preparedness measures for the upcoming earthquake drill. Through these initiatives, ELMIS continues to promote disaster readiness and strengthen the culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience among its learners and personnel.
