As of 2:00 PM today, 04 August 2026, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 07f) (formerly "LUIS") being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has dissipated.

Another Low Pressure Area (LPA 08a) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and now has a "HIGH" chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Typhoon "DOLPHIN" is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

As National Disaster Resilience Month 2026 comes to a close, LGU Balilihan - MDRRMO remains steadfast in its commitment to building a safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready community.

Today, we had the privilege of conducting a Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Symposium for the learners of Congressman Pablo Malasarte National High School, where we shared the importance of preparedness, prevention, mitigation, response, and recovery in the face of disasters.

Preparedness begins with awareness, and empowering our youth with the right knowledge and skills is one of the strongest foundations of community resilience. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the school administration, teachers, and students for their warm welcome and active participation.

As we end this year's observance of National Disaster Resilience Month, let us remember that resilience is not built in a month—it is strengthened every day through shared responsibility, continuous learning, and collective action.
