As of 8:00 AM today, 11 September 2026, a Low Pressure Area (LPA 09b) is being monitored OUTSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a MEDIUM chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, another Low Pressure Area (LPA 09c) is being monitored OUTSIDE the PAR and is UNLIKELY to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

WEATHER UPDATE| As of 2:00 AM today, 11 September 2026, a Low Pressure Area (LPA 09b) is being monitored OUTSIDE the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a MEDIUM chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: 3rd Quarter Nationwide, Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) at the Binnuyog Banayoyo Government Center, Casilagan Norte, Banayoyo, Ilocos Sur.

The Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) of Banayoyo, in partnership with the Rural Health Unit, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), successfully conducted the Third Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) at the Binnuyog Banayoyo Government Center, Casilagan Norte, Banayoyo, Ilocos Sur.

This nationwide drill is part of our continuing efforts to instill discipline, readiness, and resilience among the LGU employees and the community. Participants practiced the Duck, Cover, and Hold technique, followed by organized evacuation procedures and coordination with emergency responders.

The activity highlighted the importance of multi-agency collaboration in ensuring safety during disasters. With the active involvement of the RHU, BFP and PNP personnel, the drill demonstrated how teamwork, preparedness, and proper response actions can save lives and reduce risks during emergencies.

Through continuous practice and community engagement, Banayoyo reaffirms its commitment to building a culture of safety and resilience—because handa ang may alam.
