The Municipal Agricultural Office – Banga proudly congratulates the Local Government Unit of Banga for receiving two meaningful recognitions during PAGKILAEA 2026, held on August 17, 2026 at the ABL Sports Complex, Capitol, Kalibo, Aklan.

🥈 2nd Runner-Up – Most Innovative Food Challenge

These recognitions highlight the dedication, creativity, innovation, and strong collaboration of the different stakeholders in making Project GROW (Growing Resilient Opportunities for Wellness) and the Community Food Pantry a meaningful and impactful initiative for the youth and the community.

The Project GROW and Community Food Pantry activities were successfully conducted on August 3, 2026, through the initiative of the 4-H Club Banga Chapter, led by Mr. Jonard B. Tobese, in partnership with the PPSK, led by SK President Hon. Julia Shane Recio, the Municipal Local Youth Development Office (MLYDO) headed by Sir Pabs Abee Arboleda, and the Municipal Agricultural Office, headed by Municipal Agricultural Officer Mr. Elmar I. Estanislao.

This achievement is a testament to what can be accomplished when our youth, local government, and community partners work together toward a common goal—promoting food security, healthy communities, youth participation, and sustainable development.

Farmer-Level Farm Business School (FBS) | Empowering Farmers Through Enterprise Development

The Municipality of Banga, Aklan, through the Municipal Agricultural Office (MAO), in partnership with the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center VI (ATI-RTC VI), is implementing the Farmer-Level Farm Business School (FBS) in Barangay Lapnag, Banga, Aklan.

The 16-week Farmer-Level Farm Business School, participated in by farmers from Barangay Lapnag and Barangay Daja Sur, aims to enhance the participants’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes in entrepreneurship and the fundamental management of farm businesses and enterprises.

The program officially started on June 29, 2026, and is being conducted every Friday. It provides farmers with practical knowledge and skills in farm business planning, financial management, marketing, entrepreneurship, decision-making, and enterprise development, helping them transform their farms into more sustainable and profitable businesses.

The activity is spearheaded by the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center VI, with the support of the Municipal Agricultural Office of Banga. The sessions are facilitated by trained Agricultural Extension Workers and facilitators who have undergone the Training of Trainers on Farm Business School conducted by ATI-RTC VI.
