The Provincial Government of La Union held its first Monday Flag Raising Ceremony for the month on June 1, 2026, led by Governor Mario Eduardo "TOT" C. Ortega, together with the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, led by Vice Governor Eric O. Sibuma, reaffirming their commitment to public service and good governance for the people of La Union.
In his message, Governor Ortega highlighted the significant accomplishments and milestones achieved by the Provincial Government over the past eleven months. He likewise emphasized the importance of solidarity and collective action in advancing the province’s development agenda, reaffirming the administration’s guiding principle of unity through the tagline, “La Union Agkaysa.”
The ceremony also marked the official welcome of the youth beneficiaries of the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), providing them with valuable opportunities for learning and public service. In addition, newly appointed Provincial Government employees formally took their oath of office, signifying their commitment to uphold integrity, excellence, and dedicated service to the people of La Union.
The gathering served as a meaningful occasion to celebrate achievements, strengthen unity, and inspire continued commitment toward a more progressive and resilient La Union.
