Based on the latest DOST-PAGASA Rainfall Warning Update (5:00 PM, 05 August 2026), La Union is currently under a Red Rainfall Warning. This means that serious flooding is expected, and residents in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas are advised to take precautionary measures, monitor official DOST-PAGASA updates, and follow the instructions of local authorities.

As of 2:00 PM today, 05 August 2026, Tropical Storm "MAYMAY" (International Name "KUJIRA") is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Meanwhile, the Typhoon with the international name "DOLPHIN" is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Bangar promptly responded to the incident. Primary assessment, vital signs checking was conducted on the patient and was subsequently transported to Municipal Health Office (MHO) for further care and management.

The patient sustained a fall from the roof of their house. Upon assessment, the patient complained of back pain and numbness in the left leg.

MDRRMC Bangar Conducts Coordination and Monitoring Activities Following PDRA Meeting for Tropical Cyclone “MAYMAY”

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of Bangar conducted a Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) Meeting in connection with Tropical Cyclone “MAYMAY” to assess the prevailing situation and establish necessary preparedness and response measures.

Following the conduct of the PDRA Meeting, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in coordination with the Municipal Health Office (MHO), proceeded with coordination activities with concerned barangays and conducted roving and monitoring in identified high-risk areas within the Municipality of Bangar to assess prevailing conditions and strengthen preparedness and response measures.

During the activity, the MHO also conducted health check-ups and provided necessary medications, including Doxycycline, to address the health concerns of affected individuals and ensure their well-being.

The MDRRMC Bangar remains vigilant and continues to strengthen coordination efforts to ensure the safety and welfare of the community.
