Labor Day Boost: DOLE-Abra Releases Livelihood Aid and Wages to Hundreds of Beneficiaries
In celebration of Labor Day, the Department of Labor and Employment โ Abra Field Office awarded symbolic checks to two associations. The San Marcial Farmers Association received livelihood assistance amounting to โฑ1,604,500, while the Barangay Ocup Rural Improvement Club received โฑ1,651,200.
The Local Government Unit of Pidigan likewise received funding under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers program, totaling โฑ5,278,000 for the benefit of 650 workers.
Meanwhile, 97 interns under the Government Internship Program were also provided with their wages, amounting to a total of โฑ291,636.46.
Lastly, livelihood kits were awarded to the Isit Farmers Association from the Local Government Unit of Dolores, with assistance amounting to โฑ1,352,700.
The awarding program was led by Department of Labor and Employment โ Abra Provincial Head Christopher Tugadi, who emphasized the agencyโs continued commitment to supporting workers, strengthening livelihoods, and promoting inclusive employment opportunities across the province.
