DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program: Empowering Communities Through Sustainable Livelihood

In line with the Secretary Francisco Tolentino’s directives underscoring DOLE’s commitment to giving Filipino workers the capacity to “stand on their own and move from assistance to sustainable livelihood, employment and productivity, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Cordillera Administrative Region, through the DOLE-Abra Field Office, conducted the check awarding for Tagnawa Di Licuan Association, Inc. of Poblacion, Licuan-Baay, Abra, under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), amounting to ₱496,900.00 from the Sin Tax Fund for its Farm Mechanization and Rental Services Project.
In his message, Hon. Mayor Darwin L. Domingo expressed his appreciation for the livelihood assistance, emphasizing its potential to improve the lives and livelihood opportunities of his constituents.
Meanwhile, Mr. Christopher B. Tugadi, Head of the DOLE-Abra Field Office, underscored the vital role of the Local Government Unit of Licuan-Baay in making livelihood initiatives possible. He emphasized that strong collaboration and support from local government partners are essential in bringing meaningful and sustainable livelihood opportunities to communities.
Words of gratitude were likewise shared by the Municipal PESO Manager, Municipal Agriculturist and the Association President, recognizing the value of this assistance in strengthening local agricultural activities and creating opportunities for the association and its members.
Through the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program, DOLE continues to support community-based enterprises, promote productive livelihood opportunities, and help improve the economic well-being of Filipino workers and their families.
Together, through strong partnerships and shared commitment, we cultivate not only the land but also opportunities for a more sustainable future.

DOLE-CAR Abra Field Office Awards Livelihood Kits to Dulimaman Women’s Organization in Lagayan, Abra
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through the DOLE-Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) Abra Field Office, in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lagayan, awarded livelihood kits to the Dulimaman Women’s Organization of Poblacion, Lagayan, Abra for its Egg Layering Project under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).
Through the initiative of the DOLE-CAR Abra Field Office, with the support and partnership of LGU-Lagayan, the proposed livelihood project of the women’s organization has been realized, opening opportunities for its members to improve their livelihood and contribute to the economic well-being of their families and community.
In their respective messages, DOLE Abra Field Office Head Christopher B. Tugadi and Lagayan Municipal Mayor Edmarc Crisologo emphasized the importance of sustaining and properly managing the livelihood project, reminding the association that the initiative is intended for their own benefit and that its success depends on their commitment, cooperation, and responsible stewardship of the assistance provided.
Meanwhile, the DILP Focal Person, Grace B. Bandayrel discussed the program’s guidelines and requirements to ensure the proper implementation, management, and sustainability of the project.
Under the leadership of DOLE Secretary Francis Tolentino and DOLE-CAR Regional Director Atty. Erwin N. Aquino and, DOLE continues to advance livelihood initiatives that empower communities, strengthen local economic opportunities, and help beneficiaries work toward self-sufficiency.
The DOLE-CAR Abra Field Office extends its congratulations to the Dulimaman Women’s Organization and expresses its appreciation to LGU-Lagayan for its continued support in making this livelihood initiative possible.
Through partnership and collective commitment, livelihood assistance becomes an opportunity for lasting progress.
