✅ MBWD WATER SERVICE UPDATE

The broken distribution line at Zone 5 (Barikir), Bangued, Abra, caused by ongoing canal excavation, has been repaired.

Water supply is being restored to Zones 1–7, Lipcan, Calaba, Sta. Rosa, Bangbangar, and Cabuloan. Please allow time for water pressure to normalize.

Please be advised that concessionaires in the following areas may experience low water pressure to no water supply due to a broken distribution line caused by ongoing canal excavation at Zone 5 (Barikir), Bangued, Abra.

REPAIR COMPLETED | September 22, 2026

The emergency interconnection of the 8-inch steel pipe transmission line near Mike’s Superstore, Zone 5, Bangued, Abra, has been successfully completed.

However, some areas within Bangued may still experience LOW WATER PRESSURE due to a separate broken transmission line in Bacsil.

The Metro Bangued Water District (MBWD) informs all concessionaires that the emergency interconnection of the fabricated 8-inch steel pipe transmission line near Mike’s Superstore, Zone 5, Bangued, Abra, is STILL ONGOING.

Due to the ongoing repair works, low water pressure to no water supply may still be experienced in the following areas:

Affected Areas: Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3, Zone 4, Zone 5, Zone 6, Zone 7, Calaba, Bangbangar, Cabuloan, Sta. Rosa, Lipcan, Lingtan, and Palao.

Our maintenance personnel are continuously working to complete the interconnection and restore normal water service as soon as possible.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued patience and understanding.

WATER SERVICE ADVISORY

LOW WATER PRESSURE TO NO WATER

September 22, 2026 | 1:00 PM onwards

The Metro Bangued Water District (MBWD) informs all concessionaires that an emergency interconnection of the fabricated 8-inch steel pipe transmission line will be conducted due to the ongoing bridge construction in Zone 5, Bangued, Abra.

This activity may cause low water pressure to no water supply in the following areas:

Location of Activity

Near Mike’s Superstore, Zone 5, Bangued, Abra

Affected Areas:

Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3, Zone 4, Zone 5, Zone 6, Zone 7, Calaba, Bangbangar, Cabuloan, Sta. Rosa, Lipcan, Lingtan, and Palao.

All affected concessionaires are advised to store sufficient water before the scheduled activity.

Water service will be restored as soon as the interconnection works are completed. Further updates will be posted on our official page.
