PLEASE BE ADVISED:

In anticipation of the potential effects of Tropical Cyclone Paolo, and based on the latest monitoring and forecasts from PAGASA, all tourism and water-related activities in the Municipality of Villaviciosa are hereby suspended effective immediately until further notice.

This precautionary measure is being implemented to ensure the safety of residents and visitors, as the approaching weather system may bring hazardous conditions, including heavy rainfall, landslides, and flooding.

The public is strongly advised to avoid rivers, streams, and other water bodies, and to remain alert to possible warnings and advisories.
The suspension will remain in effect until weather conditions improve and an official lifting is issued. All are enjoined to regularly monitor updates from local officials, the MDRRMO, and PAGASA.

Stay safe, remain vigilant, and prepare for possible emergencies.

[PALAYAN IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED]

According to the DOST-PAGASA TROPICAL CYCLONE BULLETIN NR. 16, issued at 08:00 AM, November 17, 2024, Super Typhoon “PEPITO” passes over the waters North of Calaguas Islands and is now over the sea East of Quezon. The Province of Abra is raised under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3.

In light of these adverse weather conditions, we hereby announce the TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PALAYAN PUBLIC PARK. Furthermore, all tourism activities and river-related operations within our municipality will be suspended until further notice.

This precautionary measure has been undertaken to ensure public safety due to the forecasted storm which indicates that we may experience gusty winds and heavy rainfall, which presents significant risks to both visitors and the surrounding environment.

CLOSURE DETAILS:
• Effective Date: 17 November 2024
• Duration: Until deemed safe by local authorities
• Affected Areas: Palayan Public Park, all nearby tourist spots, and all river activities, including swimming, fishing, and other related operations.

SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Stay Indoors: Please limit outdoor activities during the onslaught of the typhoon.
