The DILG La Paz Municipal Field Office conducted an Executive Briefing on the LGU Observations Report of the Municipality of La Paz, Abra on September 3, 2026, as part of the Supervised Field Work under the Apprenticeship Program for Local Government Operations Officers II and III.
LGOO III Rommel Keith T. Minong presented the report, highlighting the municipalityโs good practices, accomplishments, areas for improvement, and recommended actions to strengthen local governance and service delivery.
During the discussion, Mayor Danielle Belynne B. Bernos emphasized the importance of ensuring that programs and projects are responsive to actual community needs and are matched with the LGUโs available staffing, resources, and implementation capacity. She also highlighted the value of strengthened data management and practical performance monitoring in identifying beneficiaries, guiding local decisions, and assessing the results of programs and projects.
MLGOO Daryll Jane T. Paz thanked the municipal officials and functionaries for their cooperation and noted that the observations and recommendations can serve as additional inputs for local planning and continuous improvement.
The activity marked the culmination of the field observation and validation activities undertaken in the Municipality of La Paz and provided an opportunity for shared reflection on how the LGU can continue building on its strengths while addressing areas for improvement.
