MR-SIA MONITORING CONDUCTED

The Department of Health (DOH) Abra headed by Ma’am Lilibeth Martin,DMO V with the Provincial Health Office (PHO)represented by Ma’am Maryjune Algarne and Ma’am Novie Ann Belmes conducted a monitoring of the implementation and progress of the immunization activity in Bangued.

Focusing on the eligible children who were missed during the MR-SIA implementation activity and facilitating the catch up/mop up vaccination.

Through this monitoring, we continue to ensure that children are reached, protected, and given the opportunity to receive life-saving vaccines.

Bangued has reached 80.5% vaccination coverage as of this date among children aged 6–59 months, with a total of 2,804 children vaccinated against measles and rubella.

Despite rumors, misinformation, and fake news circulating on social media, our mommies and daddies are smart enough to seek the truth and make informed choices for their children.

Vaccines are not something to fear—they are one of the strongest protections we can give our children against vaccine-preventable diseases.
