BANGUED, ABRA — In a proactive move to reinforce environmental laws and protect the province’s natural resources, PMAJ VENCIOLY M LUZANO, Acting Force Commander of the 1st Abra Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) met with Mr. Ronald Tuscano, Forester II, OIC Chief Enforcement and Monitoring Section from the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) for a high-level coordination meeting at the CENRO Office in Cassamata Hill, Bangued, Abra.

The strategic meeting focused on aligning law enforcement strategies with environmental conservation efforts. Both agencies discussed intensifying joint operations against illegal logging, unauthorized mining, and other environmental violations that threaten the province’s rich ecosystems.

On June 11, 2026, at 7:40 AM, Pat Wynmark Layugan Gubing, personnel of the 1st Abra Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), conducted a proactive community awareness and public safety initiative in Barangay San Antonio, Bangued, Abra. As part of the unit's ongoing Police Community Relations (PCR) efforts, Pat Gubing directly engaged with local residents to strengthen community-police partnerships and enhance neighborhood security. During the community visitation, he distributed Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, which provided the citizens with invaluable, practical advice on anti-robbery measures to safeguard their properties, alongside essential health and safety tips to ensure the overall well-being of their households.

On June 11, 2026, at 5:30 AM, personnel of 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, led by PLT REXMAR KIFAB WAY-YAS, conducted a proactive PNP checkpoint along the Abra-Ilocos Sur Road in Brgy. Lipcan, Bangued, Abra.

This strategic operation aims to ensure strict compliance with traffic laws, municipal ordinances, and transportation rules to keep our commuters safe. Through a strong and visible police presence, the team successfully maintained order, concluding the operation peacefully with zero apprehensions.

On June 10, 2026, at 7:30 AM, personnel from the 1st Abra PMFC, Pat Jeffrey Guzman Doral, successfully conducted a community dialogue with the residents of Pulot, Lagayan, Abra.

During the engagement, Pat Doral shared essential crime prevention safety tips and raised awareness regarding Republic Act 11313 (the Bawal Bastos Law). This initiative aims to protect community members, promote mutual respect, and maintain peace and order in the barangay.
