In view of the PAGASA Yellow Rainfall Warning issued at 5:00 AM today, face-to-face classes at ALL LEVELS are suspended today in Bangued, La Paz, Lagayan, Langiden, Peรฑarrubia, Pidigan, Pilar, San Isidro, San Quintin, Tayum, Villaviciosa, and Danglas.

To ensure continuity of learning, classes shall shift to Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM).

Bacsil Elementary School informs all parents, learners, and school personnel that on Thursday, August 20, 2026, the following measures will be implemented in accordance with the directive from Malacaรฑang:

๐Ÿข NO IN-PERSON GOVERNMENT WORK
Government offices shall adopt appropriate Alternative Work Arrangements (AWA) to ensure the continued delivery of essential services.

๐Ÿซ NO FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES
All schools are directed to implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADMs) and appropriate learning continuity measures to support learners during the suspension.

๐Ÿ“š CONTINUITY OF LEARNING
Teachers and learners are encouraged to continue learning through appropriate modalities and available communication channels. Parents and guardians are likewise encouraged to provide support and guidance to learners in accomplishing their learning activities.

Let us work together to ensure the safety, well-being, and continuity of learning of all our learners.

Learning Continues Despite the Class Suspension

Due to the inclement weather, Bacsil Elementary School suspended face-to-face classes as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of all learners and teaching personnel. Although in-person classes were temporarily suspended, the delivery of education continued through the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM).

With the cooperation and dedication of teachers, parents, and learners, learning activities were carried out at home through appropriate ADM strategies. Learners were encouraged to accomplish their assigned tasks with the guidance and support of their teachers and parents. This collaborative effort helped ensure that learning remained uninterrupted despite the temporary suspension of face-to-face classes.

Bacsil Elementary School continues to uphold its commitment to providing accessible, meaningful, and continuous learning while putting the safety of everyone first. No matter the weather, education continues, and learning never stops.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129 of the Office of the President, government offices in Abra shall implement appropriate alternative work arrangements on August 19, 2026, due to continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon.

For schools in Abra: Unless otherwise directed by the respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented for all levels in both public and private schools.

To ensure the continuity of learning while prioritizing the safety and well-being of our learners all classes shall shift to Alternative Delivery Mode.

As Term 1 examinations approach toward the end of August and the First Term officially concludes on 15 September 2026, the DepEd Three-Term School Calendar continues to be implemented in public schools across the Schools Division of Abra.

This reform aims to protect instructional time, strengthen learning continuity, ease teacher workload pressures, and ensure that every learner develops the essential learning competencies.

For clarity, the implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar does not change the curriculum, academic standards, national assessments, or the required number of school days.
