Yesterday, March 19, 2026, the Municipal Tribal Chieftain ๐๐š๐ž ๐๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐š ๐Œ๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ , together with all the Barangay Tribal Chieftains representing the various communities across Bansalan, formally conducted their regularly scheduled monthly meeting at the well-appointed Municipal Tribal Function Hall located in Poblacion Dos, Bansalan, Davao del Sur.

A venue specifically designated to host gatherings focused on advancing Indigenous Peoples interests, in attendance at this significant assembly were UBT IPS Head Matanam Hernan Ambe, who was joined by Sta. Cruz Tribal Chieftain and Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) Bae Elvira Lim, as well as Provincial Tribal Chieftain Bae Norma Rivera, all of whom contributed valuable perspectives to the proceedings.

The comprehensive discussions thoroughly covered an extensive range of pressing community concerns, including matters related to land tenure security, preservation of traditional cultural practices and ancestral domains.

The Municipal Tribal Chieftain of Bansalan, ๐๐š๐ž ๐๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐š ๐“. ๐Œ๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ โ€”๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐”๐๐“/๐€๐ƒ๐Œ๐Ž was also present during the said FPIC process together with the Elected Barangay Captains and Barangay Kagawad of the said Barangay.

The FPIC was successfully conducted and facilitated. All the projects mentioned above were unanimously approved by the tribal councils of the respective barangays.
