In its continuing commitment to providing a safe, peaceful, and crime-free learning environment, Bantay National High School, under the leadership of Mrs. Mary Jane P. Cabunoc, Principal III, conducted the Orientation on the Establishment of the Student Crime Prevention Committee (SCPC).
Anchored on the theme, โStrengthening School, Police and Community Partnership for a Safe, Peaceful, and Crime-Free Learning Environment,โ the activity brought together school personnel, barangay officials, representatives from partner agencies, parents, and other stakeholders to strengthen collaboration in promoting school safety and crime prevention.
The orientation featured discussions on the establishment of the SCPC, its proposed composition, roles, and responsibilities, as well as an open forum to address concerns and clarify important matters. It also highlighted the importance of shared responsibility, commitment, and active partnership among the school, law enforcement agencies, and the community in safeguarding learners and maintaining a secure learning environment.
The activity was graced by Ms. Mary Jane C. Cacanindin, NAPOLCOM Provincial Officer for Ilocos Sur, who led the orientation, and PLT Donne Alfred O. Gamuenda of the Bantay Municipal Police Station, who shared a message on behalf of the Philippine National Police. School leaders, barangay officials, and other stakeholders likewise expressed their support for the initiative.
Through this undertaking, Bantay National High School reaffirms that school safety is a shared responsibility. By working hand in hand, the school, police, and community can build a stronger culture of vigilance, cooperation, discipline, and protection for every learner.
Together, let us make our school a safer place to learn, grow, and thrive!
