BRIEF HISTORY OF BARANGAY MOJON

This barangay being second to earliest to become a separate barangay got its name from the Spanish word MOJON meaning "monument". Since the barangay is situated between the boundaries of the Municipality of Bantayan and the Municipality of Santa Fe. This monument was the sole description when referring to the place. Logically and with some meaning the place was called and the whole barangay where it is officially called MOJON.

Congratulations sa tulo ka mga barangay diri sa Lungsod sa Bantayan tungod kay naapil sila sa "top performing barangays" nga nasakop sa Lalawigan sa Sugbo nga gipagawas sa Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)

Basi sa gipagawas nga resulta sa National Barangay Operations Office (NBOO) karong adlawa nag ila sa mga barangay sa Mojon, Oboob ug Suba nga nag una sa kampanya sa Barangay Road Clearing Operations (BaRCO) sa ikaduhang quarter karong tuig 2024.
