The Bantay Dagat Personnel together with Cebu City MARPSTA-Northern Cebu Maritime Law Enforcement and Philippine Coast Guard jointly conducted seaborne patrol operation at vicinity seawater of Hilotongan, Bantayan, Cebu that resulted in the interception of one (1) unmarked motorized banca with three (3) fishermen onboard, both residents of Brgy. Punta Batuanan Purok 3 Carles, Ilo-ilo, who are actually engaged in illegal fishing activity with the use of "dynamite fishing" at the said seawater for violation of Sec.92 para. (a) (Fishing through Explosives, Noxious or Poisonous Substance, or Electricity for Illegal Fishing) of RA 10654.

The Bantay Dagat Personnel, Philippine Coastguard and Maritime Police jointly conducted seaborne patrol operation within the area of responsibility of the Municipality that resulted to apprehend two (2) hulbot-hulbot fishing boat with a total of ten fisherfolks onboard, five (5) from unmarked F/B and five (5) from F/B 3 Brothers.

They were apprehended approximately 10km fronting Mambacayao Diot Brgy. Lipayran. The ten were identified as fisherfolks from Escalante Negros Occidental.

The Bantay Dagat Team of the Municipality of Bantayan is conducting regular seaborne patrols within the municipal waters. This is to minimize the occurrence of illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUUF) and to restore the abundance of marine resources of Bantayan.

Two Individuals Apprehended for Capture of Endangered Eagle Ray (Aetobatus ocellatus).

Two illegal fishers were apprehended approximately 10km of the municipal waters fronting Brgy. Patao. The two were identified as fisherfolks from the Municipality of Sta. Fe. They were equipped with two long harpoons with two large baits. They were apprehended for illegal intrusion within the municipal waters of Bantayan and capture of the endangered white-spotted eagle ray or ocellated eagle ray (Aetobatus ocellatus). The captured eagle ray was found to be an adult female with a length of 2.2meters.

The Bantay Dagat Team of the Municipality of Bantayan together with Philippines Coast Guard and Maritime Police is conducting regular seaborne patrols within the municipal waters. This is to minimize the occurrence of illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUUF) and to restore the abundance of marine resources of Bantayan.

On June 5, 2024 on or about 12:00 PM the Bantay Dagat team together with Maritime Police and Philippine Coast Guard jointly conducted seaborne patrol operation at vicinity seawaters off Hilotongan islet, Bantayan, Cebu that resulted in the interception of unmarked fishing boat with 7 crew onboard and all residents of Victorias, Negros Occidental, said F/B did'nt on actual operations but possibly engaged in illegal activity due to its more or less ten (10) boxes of fish catch by locally known as Trawl. Upon inspection, it was found out also that F/B Tamtam has no pertinent documents onboard like B/Capt and B/Engr. VSEI implemented by the PCG Bantayan for appropriate penalties and offenses. 6/5/24.

The racing will be divided into seven categories:

1.) Bugsay Subiran Race (kasko/tablon)- maximum of 10 participants (2 to 3 participants in every Cluster)

2.) Lumba sa Tukon (kasko/tablon)- maximum of 10 participants (2 to 3 participants in every cluster)

3.) De Layag Boat Race- maximum of 10 participants (2 to 3 participants in every cluster)

4.) Lumba sa Langoy Male (100 meters)- maximum of 10 participants (2 to 3 participants in every cluster)

5.) Lumba sa Langoy Female (100 meters)- maximum of 10 participants (2 to 3 participants in every cluster)

6.) Boat Racing (Tablon 7HP)- maximum of 12 participants (2 to 3 participants in every cluster)
