🎣 WELCOME DINNER | 2nd BANTON NATIONAL JIGGING TOURNAMENT

Last night, LGU Banton warmly welcomed the participants, organizers, guests, and partners of the 2nd Banton National Jigging Tournament during the Welcome Dinner held at Generoso L. Fonte Covered Court.

It was a night of good food, fellowship, and excitement as we gathered before today’s much-awaited tournament.

Today, the competition is officially ongoing! 🎣 We wish all our participants the best of luck and a safe and enjoyable fishing experience in the waters of Banton.

Pagbati!

Kasalukuyang nasa Jeju Island, Republic of Korea ang ating kasama sa Serbisyo Publiko, Sangguniang Bayan Member Loijorge Fegalquin Fegalan, bilang isa sa mga napiling kalahok sa isang international training.

Dumadalo siya sa Capacity Building Workshop on Cultivating Sustainable Communities Through Cultural Assets, na inorganisa ng International Peace Foundation, katuwang ang UNITED-CIFAL (United Nations Institute for Training and Research – Centre International de Formation des Autorités et Acteurs Locaux).
Kasama sa naturang pagsasanay ang mga kalahok mula sa Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, at Pilipinas.

Isang karangalan para sa ating bayan na magkaroon ng kinatawan na makibahagi sa ganitong makabuluhang international learning opportunity. Nawa’y magsilbing dagdag na kaalaman at karanasan ito na maibabahagi at magagamit para sa kapakinabangan ng ating komunidad.

Ngayong araw, September 3, 2026, isinagawa ang payout of assistance para sa ating mga Barangay Tanods, Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Barangay Health Workers at selected Senior Citizens.

Sa kabila ng malalakas na alon at mahirap na kondisyon ng dagat, sinikap ng mga empleyado mula sa Romblon Provincial Government Office na makarating sa Isla ng Banton upang personal na maisagawa at maihatid ang payout para sa ating mga benepisyaryo.

Their effort and dedication to reach Banton, despite the challenging sea conditions, are truly appreciated. Hindi naging hadlang ang maalon na dagat upang maihatid ang serbisyo sa ating mga kababayan.

Maraming salamat sa Provincial Government Office of Romblon sa patuloy na serbisyo, malasakit, at pagsisikap para sa ating mga Bantoanon.

Matagumpay na naisagawa ngayong araw ang Parade at Opening Ceremony ng District Meet 2026.
Masaya at makulay na sinalubong ng ating mga atleta, g**o at coaches ang pagsisimula ng District Meet ngayong taon. Isang araw na puno ng saya, pagkakaisa at pagmamalaki sa bawat paaralan at kuponan.
Bukas, September 3, 2026, magsisimula na ang tunay na tagisan ng husay at galing ng bawat batang manlalaro at kuponan!
