𝐁𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐒, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤-𝐎𝐟𝐟

Barcelona National Comprehensive High School (BNCHS), headed by Principal IV Imelda E. Diño, participated in the kick-off of National School Safety Week during its flag-raising ceremony on October 12, 2026. Education officials, local government representatives, and community partners joined the activity to express their support for school safety.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Gloria E. Reymundo, Officer-in-Charge Public Schools District Supervisor of Barcelona District, and School Parent-Teacher Association President Alberto F. Erandio. Barangay officials of Poblacion Norte, headed by Barangay Captain Rico E. Entac, also participated alongside barangay health workers and barangay tanods.

Other participating officials included Dr. Jean Estopace, Municipal Health Officer; Sheena Gonzales-Cerillo, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer; Ariane Mae Sergio-Guardiano, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer I; PLT Johanes J. Tayam, DCOP of Barcelona Municipal Police Station; and SFO3 Leonides N. Gojo, Officer-in-Charge of the Bureau of Fire Protection–Barcelona.

The officials delivered messages of support to BNCHS students and teachers, affirming their commitment to a safe, inclusive, and caring school environment.

Following the messages, participants recited the “Panata para sa Ligtas, Inklusibo, at Maalagang Paaralan.” The activity concluded with the signing of the School Safety Commitment Wall, signifying their shared commitment to school safety.

Sa pagdiriwang ng ika-128 anibersaryo ng Proklamasyon ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas, kaisa ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon sa pagpupugay sa katapangan at sakripisyo ng ating mga bayani na nagbukas ng landas tungo sa ating kasarinlan.

Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon ang kanilang pamana upang patuloy nating mahalin ang bayan, pahalagahan ang kalayaan, at magkaisa para sa mas maunlad na kinabukasan ng bansa.

SCHOOL OPENING AND ORIENTATION ACTIVITIES FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2026–2027

1. Opening of Classes

Please be informed that the official opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027 will be on June 8, 2026.

All students are required to wear the prescribed school dress code, particularly the approved school uniform and student ID. However, Grade 7 and Grade 11 students will be given a one-month adjustment period to allow ample time for the preparation and processing of their identification cards. Students are requested to submit one (1) recent 1×1 ID picture to their respective advisers.

All teachers are likewise required to wear the 2026 Approved Uniform and their school IDs.

2. Schedule of Activities

June 8, 2026 (Monday)

7:00 – 7:20 AM – Flag Ceremony
7:20 – 9:00 AM – Orientation and Meet-and-Greet with Class Advisers
9:30 – 11:00 AM – Distribution of Kadunungan School Supplies and T-shirts from the BNCHS Alumni Association (for JHS students only)
1:00 – 4:00 PM – Orientation and Meet-and-Greet with Subject Teachers / BMI
