Campus-Wide Fire Safety Awareness, Emergency Drill & Water Search and Rescue

Last March 30, 2026, Cebu Technological University – Barili Campus conducted a Campus-Wide Fire Safety Awareness Seminar and Emergency Evacuation Drill at the Covered Court, alongside a Water Search and Rescue activity at the Smart Room Building.

Members of the CTU–Barili Campus DRRMO, Tourism student volunteers, and ROTC officers also participated in a hands-on demonstration on different techniques for carrying a patient during fire emergency response training. Participants actively engaged in drills and demonstrations, strengthening their preparedness in times of disaster. The activity was facilitated by FO1 Adrean E. Dayucos, guiding participants on proper and safe patient handling during emergency situations.

Through unity and proper training, we build a safer and more prepared community ready to respond to emergencies.

CLEAN-UP DRIVE & TREE PLANTING

Last March 28, 2026, a meaningful and impactful Clean-Up Drive and Tree Planting activity was successfully held at Cebu Technological University – Barili Campus.

Led by our dedicated ROTC Officers, together with the active participation of our NSTP students, the event showcased unity, responsibility, and love for the environment. From clearing waste to planting new life, every action made a difference toward a greener and cleaner community.

This initiative reminds us that small efforts, when done together, can create big change. Let’s continue to protect and preserve our environment for future generations.

ROTC Day 2026: Strength, Talent, and Leadership in Action

On March 21, 2026, the Cebu Technological University Barili Campus Covered Court came alive as cadets gathered to celebrate ROTC Day 2026.

The event kicked off with the search for Mr. & Ms. ROTC 2026, followed by creative competitions including poster making, slogan making, spoken poetry, and essay writing. Inspiring words were delivered through the Welcome Remarks of NSTP Director Doc Zandro O. Perez and the Inspirational Message from TAC Officer/Admin NCO Sgt. Eliseo G. Rapana. In the afternoon, cadets showcased their strength and teamwork through challenging obstacle activities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed judges Sgt. Mary Grace O. Dales PA (RES), Sgt. Eliseo G. Rapana PA (RES), and Sgt. Arjiely R. Duhaylungsod PA (RES) for their time and fair evaluation during the Mr. & Ms. ROTC 2026. We also sincerely thank our supportive Graduate Military Assistants (GMA’s) and dedicated training staff for their guidance, leadership, and unwavering support in making the event successful.

ROTC Day 2026 was a true reflection of discipline, creativity, and unity shaping future leaders ready to serve and lead with pride.

8th Military Instruction | CTU Barili ROTC

On March 14, 2026, the Basic and Advance Cadets of the CTU Barili ROTC Unit conducted their 8th Military Instruction at Cebu Technological University–Barili Campus under the guidance of our Admin NCO, CPL George Albatera (INF) PA.

The cadets practiced drills and military stake exercises to improve discipline, coordination, and teamwork. Personnel from Barili Police Station led by PLT Esteliore C. CaΓ±ete, together with PCpl Azarel Jerem B. Pagat and Patrolwoman Merlyn G. Quio, conducted a lecture and demonstration on the assembly, disassembly, and identification of parts of the M16A1 rifle.

The activity strengthened the cadets’ military knowledge, discipline, and preparedness as future leaders.

7th Military Instruction and ROTC Month Celebration

The 7th Military Instruction was held on March 7, 2026, at Cebu Technological University – Barili Campus. The activity was part of the ROTC Month Celebration and aimed to enhance the discipline, knowledge, and military skills of the cadets.

The program started with a Flag Raising Ceremony to honor ROTC Month and promote patriotism among the cadets. After the ceremony, the cadets participated in drill practice and military stake training to improve their coordination, teamwork, and discipline. The session also included educational discussions where Cdt Jhoy Mariel Jaca 2cl discussed the topic on Small Unit Tactics, which focuses on strategies used by small groups of soldiers during operations. In addition, Cdt Kimjane Navares 2cl discussed Individual Unit Training, emphasizing the importance of developing individual skills and responsibilities within a military unit.

Overall, the 7th Military Instruction was a meaningful and productive activity that strengthened the cadets’ military knowledge, leadership, and teamwork. It also contributed to the successful celebration of ROTC Month while preparing the cadets for future responsibilities and challenges.
