“The Philippine National Police is fully aware of the ongoing protests being staged by certain groups to air their views on the results of the elections.

Our men have always been directed to exercise maximum tolerance in responding to such mass activities as we recognize it as the citizens’ form of expression and a fundamental part of their constitutional rights.

However, the PNP is also firm on its mandate to enforce the law and apprehend anyone who brings harm and puts the security and the welfare of the public in danger.

We are appealing to the public to cooperate with the PNP as we only seek to protect the peace and order in the country.”
