CULMINATING ACTIVITY || PHINMA-UI Criminology Interns – Class Maragtas

Barotac Nuevo Fire Station personnel, led by SFO4 Romelo D Aguilar, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, successfully conducted a Culminating Activity for the Criminology Intern students of PHINMA-UI – Class Maragtas.

The activity was held to celebrate the successful completion of the students’ 270-hour internship program. It also served as a recognition of their dedication, hard work, and valuable learning experiences gained during their on-the-job training with the Bureau of Fire Protection - Barotac Nuevo Fire Station.

Through this activity, the station reaffirmed its commitment to fostering future public safety professionals by providing hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world exposure in fire service operations.

In line with the observance of Oplan Semana Santa Lakbay-Alalay, personnel of the Talisay Fire Sub-Station of Barotac Nuevo Fire Station, headed by SFO4 Romelo D Aguilar, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, and supervised by SFO1 Lemuel T Sabarillo, Sub-Station Commander, were deployed as a First Aid Service Team (FAST) and Standby Firemen at Sitio Lamintao, Brgy. Talisay, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.

The activity aimed to ensure the safety of all beachgoers observing the occasion and to provide immediate medical assistance to individuals who may experience health-related concerns. In addition to rendering first aid services, BFP personnel also served as standby firemen, ensuring that beachgoers remained within safe areas and away from hazardous or deep portions of the beach.

SEMANA SANTA 2026 || BFP Barotac Nuevo Conducted a “Bumbyahero Fuel-Less Paalala”

Barotac Nuevo Fire Station personnel led by SFO4 Romelo D Aguilar, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal conducted the “Bumbyahero Fuel-less Paalala (BFP) sa Semana Santa 2026” as part of its continuous effort to promote fire safety awareness while supporting energy conservation initiatives during the observance of Holy Week.

In line with this campaign, BFP personnel utilized bicycles and other fuel-less means of mobility to actively engage with the community. In line with the observance of Oplan Semana Santa Lakbay-Alalay, personnel of the Barotac Nuevo Fire Station, headed by SFO4 Romelo D Aguilar, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, were deployed as a First Aid Service Team (FAST) and Standby Firemen during the Good Friday Procession held at St. Anthony de Padua Parish Church and within Brgy. Ilaud, Poblacion, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.

The activity aimed to ensure the safety and well-being of all devotees by providing immediate medical assistance to individuals who may experience health-related concerns during the procession.
