• SK POBLACION Chairperson - Newly Elected SKMF Auditor •

We would like to congratulate our SK Chairperson of Brgy. Poblacion, Hon. Aylmer Joshua Legaste for being elected as the new Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation Auditor during the Monthly Session of SKMF at the People's Hall, Barotac Viejo on May 23.

Together with all the members of the SKMF and Youth Organizations in Barotac Viejo, the SKMF spearheaded the creation of Local Youth Development Council in the municipality to strengthen partnerships and programs. The Vice President position was filled by Hon. Joebert Bagsain, SK Chairperson of Brgy. California, paving the way for Hon. Aylmer Joshua Legaste to be elected as the new SKMF Auditor.

The meeting was joined with SKMF President - Hon. Kurt Denzel Damires, LYDO Designate - Ma'am Hanneh Karmela C. Banaynal and Municipal Local Government Operations Officer - Mr. Vicente Albert Aaron Andaya.

The National Government announced that each barangay will receive ₱200,000, of which ₱100,000 will be allocated as educational assistance for five (5) incoming 4th-year students per barangay, with each student receiving ₱20,000.

In connection with this matter, the Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation has received numerous inquiries and concerns from the youth regarding the selection process for the scholarship beneficiaries.

We would like to clarify to everyone, especially the youth, that the Sangguniang Kabataan does not have the autonomy, authority, or control over the allocation of the said budget nor the selection of the scholarship beneficiaries. The identification and selection of scholars are under the jurisdiction of the Barangay Council.

However, as voice and representative of the youth sector in the barangay, the Sangguniang Kabataan remains committed to serving as a bridge between the youth and the concerned authorities by communicating the suggestions, sentiments, and concerns of our fellow young people regarding this matter.

We respectfully request the public’s understanding and cooperation, and we assure everyone that the Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation shall continue to uphold transparency, accountability, and genuine public service in accordance with its mandate.

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME MATCH RESULT!

Ilawod dominates Ilaya

With strategic effort of Ilawod, the Team dominated the Ilaya in the first round of BEST of Three for the Championship Match held at the Municipal Gymnasium on May 16, 87-71 in favor of Ilawod.

LA Tumabiene shined in the night as he clinches the Best Player of the Game by 19 points. With an aggressive first half, Ilawod showed promise in maintaining their progress to win the game.

Tumabiene said that as one of the key leaders, their victory was secured through their guidance to their juniors and respect in their gameplay as seniors.

Ilawod is set to face Team Ilaya on May 17, 5 PM. The following Match will decide the crucial places of the Championship.

Team Malipayon sweeps Team Makawiwili

Rising towards the third place, the Malipayon Team swept the Makawiwili by 2 - 0, scoring 79 points paving their way to the 3rd Place in the SK Poblacion Interpurok Basketball League Tournament 2026 held at the Municipal Gymnasium, Barotac Viejo on May 16.

Best Player of the Game was given to BATU with the total points of 25 - relying on his agile dribbles and moves.
