Niadtong Hulyo 21, 2026, malampusong gipahigayon sa Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) sa Baroy, ubos sa pagpangulo ni OIC Municipal Agriculturist Dan Christopher M. Basa, ang Ceremonial Distribution of Fertilizers isip kabahin sa regular nga programa sa Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office X aron mahatagan og suporta ang mga kwalipikadong mag-uuma pinaagi sa paghatag og abono.

Mitambong usab sa maong kalihokan si Mr. Jufeb Brian B. Quabo, nga mitambong isip Officer-in-Charge (OIC) ug representante sa Opisina ni Municipal Mayor Hon. Rosa Dahab Olafsson, si MAFC Chairman Gilbert G. Jumawan, ug si Ms. Oshien Abella, DA RFO-10 Personnel – Rice Program.

Nagpasalamat ang Municipal Agriculture Office sa Baroy sa Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office X, sa atong lokal nga panggamhanan, ug sa tanang mga kaabag sa ilang padayon nga suporta sa pagpalambo sa sektor sa agrikultura.

Niadtong Hulyo 23, 2026, malampusong gipahigayon sa Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) sa Baroy ang Livestock Medical Mission ug Anti-Rabies Vaccination alang sa mga iro ug iring sa Barangay Riverside ug Barangay Pange, Baroy, Lanao del Norte.

Ang maong kalihokan gipangunahan sa Livestock Focal Person, Mr. Jundimer Alcoser, uban sa mga kawani sa Municipal Agriculture Office – Baroy, isip kabahin sa padayon nga paningkamot sa opisina sa pagpanalipod sa kahimsog sa mga hayop ug pagpasiugda sa responsableng pag-atiman niini.

Mitambong usab ang mga kawani sa Municipal Treasurer's Office (MTO) aron magpahigayon sa pagparehistro ug pag-isyu sa Animal Credentials alang sa mga large animals, isip kabahin sa pagpalig-on sa animal identification ug record management sa munisipyo.

Ang Municipal Agriculture Office sa Baroy mapasalamaton sa tanang nagpasiugda ug nakigtambayayong aron mahimong malampuson ang maong kalihokan. Padayon ang atong paningkamot sa paghatag og dekalidad nga serbisyo alang sa kaayohan sa atong mga mag-uuma, livestock raisers, ug sa tibuok komunidad.

𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗠𝗔𝗙𝗖 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 | June 18, 2026

The Municipal Agriculture and Fisheries Council (MAFC) of Baroy convened a Special Meeting today at the Farmers Training Center, Bag-ong Dawis, Baroy, Lanao del Norte.

The meeting focused on the preparation and participation of the agriculture and fisheries sector in the upcoming Araw ng Lanao del Norte 2026 Celebration, particularly the commitment of farmers and fisherfolk from various barangays to showcase and contribute their agricultural and fishery products.

The council also discussed El Niño preparedness and mitigation measures, emphasizing the importance of proactive planning, resource management, and adaptation strategies to minimize the potential impacts on crop production, livestock, and fisheries.

The activity highlighted the continued commitment of the Municipal Agriculture Office, MAFC members, farmers, fisherfolk, and stakeholders in strengthening food security, promoting agricultural development, and ensuring the resilience of the agriculture and fisheries sector in the Municipality of Baroy.

Malampusong gipahigayon sa Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) pinaagi sa Provincial Fishery Office sa Lanao del Norte, ubos sa pagpangulo ni Mr. Jerose G. Acut, OIC-Provincial Fishery Officer, ang Marine Mammal Stranding Response and Conservation Training niadtong Hunyo 15-16, 2026 sa Farmers Training Center, Bag-ong Dawis, Baroy, Lanao del Norte.

Tumong sa maong pagbansay ang pagpalig-on sa kahibalo ug kapasidad sa mga lokal nga stakeholders sa hustong pagtubag sa mga insidente sa marine mammal stranding ug sa pagpanalipod sa mga marine mammals ug ilang pinuy-anan.

Ang Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) sa Baroy, ubos sa pagpangulo ni Mr. Dan Christopher M. Basa, OIC-Municipal Agriculturist, maoy mitabang sa pag-facilitate ug pag-coordinate sa partisipasyon sa mga nagkalain-laing ahensya ug sektor lakip ang MENRO, MDRRMO, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bantay Dagat, ug mga Barangay Kagawad nga nagdumala sa Agrikultura ug Pangisda.

Pinaagi sa mga lecture, diskusyon, ug praktikal nga demonstrasyon, mas napalawom ang pagsabot sa mga partisipante bahin sa marine mammals, mga hinungdan sa stranding, hustong rescue ug response procedures, inter-agency coordination, ug ang kamahinungdanon sa konserbasyon sa atong yamang dagat.

Ang maong kalihokan nagpakita sa importansya sa panaghiusa ug kooperasyon sa mga ahensya sa gobyerno, lokal nga panggamhanan, ug komunidad aron mapanalipdan ug mapreserbar ang atong marine biodiversity alang sa umaabot nga mga henerasyon.

Thirty (30) coconut farmers from the Municipality of Baroy successfully participated in the 3-Day Training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for Coconut Farmers held on June 3–5, 2026 at JIKA, Simpak, Lala, Lanao del Norte.

The Municipal Agriculture Office extends its sincere appreciation to the organizers, resource speakers, and participating farmers for their commitment to enhancing the coconut industry in our municipality.

Together, let us continue promoting sustainable agriculture and empowering our farmers towards increased productivity and better livelihoods.

The Municipal Government of Baroy advises the public to take precautionary measures following the reported water discoloration observed in portions of the municipality’s coastal areas.

Residents are encouraged to read the attached advisory issued in coordination with BFAR Region X and follow the recommended safety measures while monitoring and assessment are ongoing.

On May 7, 2026, a total of 50,000 pieces of tilapia fry were successfully distributed to ten (10) identified beneficiaries who requested assistance for their aquaculture livelihood.

This initiative was made possible through the support of our partner agency, BFAR Region 10, through the Provincial Fisheries Office – Lanao del Norte (PFO-LDN), headed by Mr. Jerose G. Acut, together with Ms. April J. Betonio, Focal Person, for the fast processing and facilitation of our request.

The Municipal Agriculture Office of LGU-Baroy extends its heartfelt gratitude for the continued support in strengthening the fisheries sector in our municipality.
