The MDRRMO Baroy conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) Orientation in Barangay Tinubdan, with participants from Barangays Princesa, Limwag, and Tinubdan. The activity aimed to equip attendees with essential life-saving skills such as CPR and basic first aid. The session was facilitated by Edmar P. Riconalla and organized in partnership with MSWDO Baroy, ensuring a well-coordinated and successful assembly.

In continued observance of Semana Santa 2026, the Baroy Emergency Operations Center (EOC) remains on BLUE ALERT STATUS to ensure heightened monitoring and readiness for any incidents across the municipality.

Earlier today, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard, conducted Baywatch operations in the coastal barangays of Baroy, Lanao del Norte. Monitoring was intensified in beach areas, particularly in Barangay Raw-an Point, where several beachgoers were present. Safety advisories were provided, and response teams were strategically deployed to ensure immediate assistance when needed.

Subsequently, MDRRMO, together with the Municipal Health Office (MHO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and other partner agencies, supported various church activities. Assistance desks were established in key locations to deliver first aid, medical services, and emergency response to pilgrims and participants.

Personnel were also deployed for crowd control, traffic management, and continuous area monitoring to maintain peace and order throughout the observance.

The MDRRMO assures the public of its continuous vigilance and encourages everyone to remain alert, follow safety guidelines, and cooperate with authorities for a safe and meaningful Semana Santa.

The Local Government Unit of Baroy, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Rosa Dahab-Olafsson, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in coordination with the Municipal Health Office (MHO), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other partner agencies, has been conducting 24/7 monitoring operations following the declaration of Blue Alert Status from April 1 to April 5, 2026.

Throughout the observance of Holy Week, MDRRMO response teams were strategically deployed to assist in various church activities, ensuring the safety and security of all devotees. As of this writing, 𝗡𝗢 emergencies or incidents have been reported. Monitoring operations will continue until the Blue Alert Status is officially lifted.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Baroy proudly participated in the recently concluded Barangay Fire Olympics in line with the observance of Fire Prevention Month 2026.

The MDRRMO played a crucial role in ensuring the safety, preparedness, and smooth flow of the entire activity. MDRRMO personnel were strategically deployed on-site, closely monitoring the event, conducting safety oversight, and remaining on standby for any emergency response—ensuring that all participants and spectators were protected at all times.

The event, spearheaded by the Baroy Fire Station under the leadership of Acting Municipal Fire Marshal SFO3 Ramil J. Nagal, gathered participants from Barangays Lower Sagadan, Salong, and Raw-an. They competed in various fire safety challenges such as Hose Laying and Busted Hose Connection, showcasing teamwork, discipline, and emergency response skills.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel and Acting Municipal Fire Marshal SFO3 Ramil J. Nagal for the opportunity to take part in this meaningful activity. March 12, 2026 - The Local Government Unit of Baroy, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Rosa Dahab-Olafsson, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), joined the entire nation in the conduct of the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for the first quarter of the year. The activity was hosted at Barangay Raw-an Point, which bravely accepted the challenge of serving as the venue for the preparedness exercise, gathering community volunteers, responders, and members of the Community Fire Auxiliary Group (CFAG).

Participating agencies included the Bureau of Fire Protection – Baroy Fire Station, headed by SFO3 Ramil J. Nagal; the Philippine Coast Guard – Baroy Substation, headed by PO1 Rolly Frando Quizano; and the Philippine National Police – Baroy Municipal Police Station, led by PCPT Ruther Glenn S. Pilapil. Representatives from these offices attended the activity and shared important safety reminders and preparedness tips related to their respective mandates.

The activity began at around 1:00 PM with an orientation and briefing for participants. At exactly 3:30 PM, the earthquake drill signal was sounded, prompting everyone to perform the standard safety procedure “Duck, Cover, and Hold.” Following the simulation, response teams, community volunteers, and CFAG members carried out their designated roles, demonstrating coordination and readiness in responding to possible earthquake emergencies.

The Local Government Unit of Baroy expresses its gratitude to Barangay Raw-an Point, headed by 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻, for supporting this important initiative and allowing the municipal government to impart valuable knowledge to the community, volunteers, and responders.

The Local Government Unit of Baroy informs all Baroynons that effective Monday, March 9, 2026, the LGU will implement a compressed four-day workweek pursuant to Executive Order No. 28, s. 2026.

Under this arrangement, offices at the Municipal Hall will operate from Monday to Thursday only, with extended service hours from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM to ensure the continued delivery of efficient and accessible public services.

However, offices providing essential, basic, and vital services, including those responsible for health, public safety, and emergency preparedness and response, shall remain fully operational at all times.
