Third week of July is

This year NDPR Week is celebrated with the theme, “Persons with Disabilities Accessibility and Rights: Towards a Sustainable Future Where No One is Left Behind.”

This week, let’s highlight the rights of persons with disabilities as much as their right to a safe, injury-free, and accessible community!

Let’s work together to ensure they can be given a PWD-friendly and sustainable future.

Do no harm and put safety first, let’s be united for a developed and inclusive society for all without anyone being left behind.

The Local Government Unit of Barugo thru its Social Welfare and Development Arm went to Barangay Duka to hand over a 20,000 worth of check to another Centenarian who just turned 100 years old last March 19, 1924.

He is Tatay Luciano Conos De Guia who happily and actively welcomed the team.

This Centenarian Cash Insentive is another cash incentive taken from the LGU Barugo Budget.

Thank you to the people behind this noteworthy program especially to Mayor Doc Aron Cabanacan Balais who's been very supportive and caring to the elders, To Vice Mayor Josephine C. Tiu for her unwavering support, to the Sangguniang Bayan members, to the Senior Citizens Affairs Focal Ma'am Dylene Avila, to the OSCA President Mrs. Teresita Cabbo and the Senior Citizens Association President Mr. Lino Labarda and the federation officers and finally to the office of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development!

To tatay Luciano, May this simple gesture of recognition and love from the Local Government Unit of Barugo bring you happiness!

Today, We celebrate FILIPINO SOCIAL WORKERS DAY!

Let us recognize the contributions and achievements of our social workers accross the nation.

Social workers are essential members of the healthcare and social services fields, working in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, community organizations, and government agencies. They provide counseling, advocacy, and support to people of all ages and backgrounds, from newborns to the elderly.

In the Local Government Unit of Barugo, social workers play an especially critical role in the organization by providing quality services for the clients, supervising other staff, and ensuring quality and just delivery of services which is an essential part of this administration's mission.

Here are the top ten reasons we’re thanking our social workers this day and why you should too!

1. ADVOCATING FOR PEOPLE:

Social workers work tirelessly to advocate for the needs and rights of those whose voices are often less heard by our society. They represent and support people who may be marginalized, oppressed, or underprivileged.

2. PROVIDING SUPPORT IN TIMES OF CRISIS:

Social workers are often called upon to provide support and assistance to people and communities during times of crisis.

3. IMPROVING MENTAL HEALTH:

Social workers support individuals and families who are dealing with mental health challenges. They provide counseling, therapy, and other forms of support that can help people work through difficult emotions and situations.

4. ADDRESSING SUBSTANCE ABUSE:

Substance abuse can wreak havoc on already vulnerable lives, and social workers are often on the front lines of addressing this issue. They help individuals and families access the right services to address and prevent substance abuse.

5. SUPPORTING FAMILIES

Social workers are vital to helping families, particularly those experiencing hardship. They work to ensure that families have access to the resources they need to thrive.

6: WIDE RANGINg SKILLS:

Social workers bring a vast range of skills to their jobs, from the social-emotional skills necessary to work with clients in crisis to knowing how to navigate complex systems like healthcare and social benefits.

7. THE BEST REFERRERS:

When a social worker doesn’t know how to answer a question, they will find someone else who can. Connecting clients with legal help, specialized treatment, or employment services is all in a day’s work for a social worker.

8. NAVIGATING SYSTEM:

When people are struggling with their mental health, it can be challenging to accomplish tasks of daily living, much less find the resiliency and determination to navigate complex systems. Social workers help clients figure out where to turn and how to get the help they need, even when that help isn’t easily accessed.

9. CHAMPIONS OF CHANGE:

Because social workers so often become systems experts, they also have essential experience working on the front lines with some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. In this way, they make excellent advocates for policy change.

10. OFTEN UNDERVALUED:

It’s no secret that people who enter a career in social work do not expect to make huge salaries. Like so many critical professions in our communities, social workers deserve extra praise because of the significant sacrifices they make every day to better our communities.

Today as we celebrate Filipino Social Workers Day, it is just fitting time to recognize the valuable contributions of our social workers to our communities. These dedicated professionals work tirelessly to help those in need. So, let’s take the time to thank our social workers and celebrate their important work during this special day❤️

HAPPY SOCIAl WORKERS DAY❤️

When we talk of the real responsibilities in life, bringing up your kids is the most significant one. Many times parents have relationship issues with each other. Even if they decided to separate, all of it must never affect their responsibilities as parents.

Their troubled relationship puts the worst effects on kid’s personality. What experts suggest is to forget your differences and co-parent them as a team.

Sharing some inspiring and useful co parenting quotes to get some help on the issue.
