𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗠 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗔 𝗚𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗜𝗔 𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗖𝗢

As we honor the courage of our nation’s heroes, the Department of Tourism invites every Filipino to reflect on the many faces of heroism that continue to shape our country.

Heroism is not confined to the pages of history. It lives on in the daily sacrifices, the quiet acts of service, and the enduring resilience of our people.

In tourism, heroism takes many forms: the tour guide who proudly tells our nation’s story, the hospitality worker who welcomes guests with warmth, the boat operator who brings people to our islands’ wonders, the small business owner who turns every tourist’s purchase into a memory of our culture, and the communities that protect our natural treasures. They may not wear medals, but through their work they uplift our nation and show the world the heart of the Filipino.

This day reminds us that true heroism is about giving of oneself for freedom, for country, and for the greater good. Just as our ancestors fought for independence, our modern-day heroes in tourism carry forward that same spirit of service and love for the Philippines.

We at the Department of Tourism salute the heroes of our past and celebrate the heroes of today. May their courage and devotion inspire us to build a future where every act of service, no matter how small, strengthens a prouder and more united Philippines.
