𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘: 𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗬 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗚

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Isabela City is currently assisting an individual who is believed to be Faizal Abdul Rivera, reportedly from Barangay Labuan, Zamboanga City.

The individual was reportedly found roaming around the city proper of Isabela City and was initially assisted by officials in the Port Area. He was subsequently turned over to the Isabela Port Management Authority (PPA). Based on initial information, he may have boarded a RORO vessel from Zamboanga City bound for Isabela City.

As no one has so far been able to confirm his identity or establish contact with his family, the Isabela PPA turned over his custody to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) for appropriate assistance, welfare assessment, and family tracing.

At present, he is safe and is under the temporary care and supervision of the CSWDO while efforts are being undertaken to verify his identity and locate his relatives or family members.

Maligayang pagdating sa City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO)!

Ang fiesta sa isang nayon ay larawan ng pagkakaisa, bayanihan, at malasakit—mga pagpapahalagang tunay na bahagi ng ating pagiging Filipino. Sa CSWDO, isinasabuhay natin ang diwang ito sa pamamagitan ng mga serbisyong naglalayong umalalay, magprotekta, at magbigay ng pagkakataon sa bawat indibidwal, pamilya, at sektor ng komunidad.

Dahil ang social services ay higit pa sa programa at assistance. Ito ay pag-abot, pakikinig, pag-unawa, at pakikipagkapwa.

Ngayong Open House 2026, buksan natin hindi lamang ang pintuan ng CSWDO, kundi ang pintuan ng pag-asa, pagkakataon, at malasakit.

Ito ang Fiesta sa Nayon. Ito ang bayanihan. Ito ang puso ng CSWDO, serbisyong may puso, para sa bawat Isabeleño.

The City Government of Isabela de Basilan continues to strengthen its commitment to promoting the welfare and well-being of older persons through the successful implementation of the Senior Citizens Spiritual and Physical Fitness Program, an initiative designed to support the physical, spiritual, and social well-being of senior citizens in the city.
Spearheaded by the City Government of Isabela de Basilan under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, and organized through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), the activity was held at around 1:00 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Lounge Center in Tabuk. The program brought together active senior citizens from Barangays Baluno, Sunrise, and Tabiawan for an afternoon of wellness, fellowship, and meaningful engagement.

The activity commenced with a spiritual session, providing the participants with an opportunity for reflection, inspiration, and strengthening of their spiritual well-being. This was followed by an invigorating Zumba session facilitated by a CSWDO staff member, encouraging the senior citizens to engage in age-appropriate physical activities while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.

Beyond physical fitness, the program also served as a venue for strengthening social connections among the participants. Through shared activities and interactions, the senior citizens were able to build friendships, foster camaraderie, and provide mutual support, contributing to a stronger sense of belonging and community.

To conclude the activity, each participating senior citizen received a hygiene kit as part of the CSWDO’s continuing efforts to promote proper hygiene, personal care, and overall well-being among older persons.

Through initiatives such as the Senior Citizens Spiritual and Physical Fitness Program, the City Government of Isabela de Basilan reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that senior citizens are given opportunities to remain active, healthy, socially connected, and meaningfully engaged in the community.

The program reflects the city’s continuing efforts to promote healthy and dignified aging while recognizing the valuable role of older persons in the community.

PUBLIC CONSULTATION with SOLO PARENTS cm HEALTH AND WELLNESS

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Isabela City, in partnership with the Solo Parents Federation of Isabela City, successfully conducted a Public Consultation with Solo Parents and Health and Wellness Activity on August 13, 2026, at the Senior Citizens Lounge Center, Barangay Tabuk, Isabela City, Basilan.

The activity served as a meaningful avenue for solo parents to share their concerns, suggestions, experiences, and recommendations, while also receiving updates on programs and services that may benefit them and their families.

One of the highlights of the activity was the informative session led by Mr. Michael Jolo, DICT Basilan Provincial Officer, who shared valuable information about the various programs, services, digital initiatives, and opportunities that the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) can offer to solo parents. He also discussed possible training programs and skills development opportunities, particularly those that may help participants improve their digital knowledge and explore opportunities for livelihood and personal development.

The activity also provided an opportunity for the Solo Parents Federation Presidents to present updates, concerns, accomplishments, and other matters concerning their respective members. These discussions strengthened communication and coordination among the federation, its members, and the CSWDO.

To promote a healthy and active lifestyle, the consultation was followed by a fun and energetic Zumba session and physical fitness activity, allowing participants to enjoy movement, exercise, and fellowship.

More than just a consultation, the activity highlighted the commitment of the Local Government Unit of Isabela City to empower solo parents by providing opportunities for participation, capacity-building, access to information, health and wellness, and stronger community support.
