𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆: 𝗗𝗦𝗪𝗗 𝗜𝗫 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗮, 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗮! 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office IX, in strong partnership with the City Government of Isabela, successfully held the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program culmination activity on May 26, 2026, at Isabela East Central Elementary School (IECES) in Barangay East Side. Regional Director Dir. Riduan P. Hadjimuddin was represented by Hja. Jamila A. Arasid, RSW, Division Chief of the Innovation Division, who delivered the opening message celebrating the literacy milestones of local learners, tutors, and Youth Development Workers (YDWs).

To ensure the program's success, the City Government of Isabela—through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO)—extended vital logistical and administrative assistance to DSWD IX. The ceremony featured program accomplishment reports from TBTP Team Leader Ms. Ayesha J. Albani and moving testimonies from tutor Jenny Violet U. Dela Cruz, YDW Expel B. Dela Cruz, and parent Ruhirmina H. Abdurahim, underscoring the strong community collaboration.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates to outstanding participants and vital stakeholders, including DEPED-SDO Isabela City and Basilan State College (BaSC), who served as the implementing partner agencies tasked with providing academic supervision, tutoring support, and institutional tracking. On behalf of DepEd Superintendent Dr. Ma. Laarni T. Villanueva, SDO Isabela City was represented by Chief Supervisor Eduardo G. Gulang. Additionally, Isabela City Mayor Hon. Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman was represented by Mohammad Ashraf R. Abubakar, RN, who delivered an inspiring message, while DSWD Central Office Division Chief Jose Ramil Reyes closed the ceremony.

Also present to witness and monitor the milestone event were Central Office Project Development Officer III Adrian Avelino and Information Officer Jackielyn Simene, alongside key members of the Regional Program Management Office (RPMO). The attending RPMO delegation included Raiza Palarca-Cabalce, RSW (SWO III / STU Head), Ivan Macaso (Project Development Officer II / Data Manager), Raisa Arpa (Project Development Officer I / Planning Officer), Nurhida Moharibain (Project Development Officer II / Information Officer), Nhadzwa U. Asaram (Social Welfare Assistant), and Farhana Abdurasid (Social Welfare Assistant).

Moving forward, the City Government of Isabela remains deeply committed to supporting local education and youth development. Through the CSWDO, the city pledges to sustain its alliance with national agencies, ensuring that impactful social welfare and literacy initiatives continue to reach and empower every child in the community.

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Isabela City, in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office IX, conducted the 2nd Quarter Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) Orientation today at Joveth's Resto, Barangay Sunrise. The event was attended by Child Development Workers (CDWs), CSWDO staff, and members of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC).

The meeting aimed to align local stakeholders on the standard procedures of the government's nutritional initiative.
The orientation focused on key operational protocols to ensure the efficient delivery of the feeding program. Detailed discussions were held regarding fund transfers, the formulation of cycle menus, market scoping, and the timely submission of liquidation reports. These technical sessions provided the implementing partners with clear guidelines to manage the program's resources effectively.

Through this collaborative activity, the CSWDO and DSWD Field Office IX reinforce their commitment to compliance, efficiency, and accountability in public service. By strengthening these administrative processes, Isabela City ensures the continuous and transparent delivery of vital nutritional services to its young beneficiaries.

𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗣 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗟𝗬 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚

The City Government of Isabela through the City Social Welfare and Development Office successfully conducted its 2nd FSCAP Quarterly Meeting on May 26, 2026, at the Senior Citizen Lounge Center in Tabuk. The event, led by City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), the meeting aimed to strengthen programs and services for senior citizens in the city.

The activity served as an avenue for community engagement and collaboration among stakeholders in addressing concerns affecting the elderly sector. The strong participation of senior citizen leaders and representatives reflected the community’s commitment to enhancing the welfare and quality of life of Isabela’s senior citizens.

The program formally opened with a welcome message from Ret. Col. Remegio L. Delos Reyes, Head of the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), who emphasized the importance of continued cooperation in advancing initiatives for the elderly.

Meanwhile, Mr. Joselito Gurrea, Senior Citizens Focal Person and Ms. Angelita Dindin, representing the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) provided updates regarding the upcoming social pension payout. They highlighted the city government’s efforts to ensure the timely and orderly distribution of financial assistance to support the needs of senior citizens.

𝟱𝟬𝟮 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗢 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗡𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗚𝗔𝗣 𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗧 𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝟭 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗬𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔 𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚-𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗬𝗔𝗟 | Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap na suportahan at bigyang-kapangyarihan ang mga solo parents sa komunidad, namahagi ang Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Isabela, sa pamumuno ni Alkalde Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, sa pamamagitan ng Tanggapan ng Kagalingan at Pagpapaunlad Panlipunan (CSWDO), ng ayuda-pinansyal sa 520 benepisyaryong solo parent sa isinagawang “Cash Assistance to Solo Parent cm Orientation on Fire Prevention and Mental Health Awareness” noong ika-21 ng Mayo.
Tumanggap ang bawat benepisyaryo ng P2,500, na umabot sa kabuuang P1.3 milyon na tulong-pinansyal.
Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni CSWDO Nor-Aina Asmara ang kahalagahan ng mga programang nagbibigay suporta at pagkilala sa mga solo parent sa lungsod.
Dumalo rin sa aktibidad si Konsehal Karel Annjaiza Sakkalahul, tagapangulo ng Committee on Women, Children and Family Affairs ng Sangguniang Panlungsod, na nagpahayag ng suporta sa mga programang nagtataguyod ng proteksyon at kapakanan ng kababaihan at pamilya.
Naghatid din ng mensahe ng suporta si CIO/GAD Focal Mendry-Ann Lim, kung saan binigyang-diin niya ang kahalagahan ng inklusibo at tumutugong mga programa para sa mga sektor na higit na nangangailangan ng suporta sa komunidad.
Tampok din sa programa ang isang pagbabahagi ng kaalaman mula kay FO3 Verr Niezle Samong ng BFP Isabela City Fire Station, gayundin ukol sa mental health awareness na pinangunahan ni Bambi Mae Golveo, Nurse Supervisor ng RHU 1 East, upang higit na mapalalim ang kamalayan hinggil sa kaligtasan, kalusugan, at emosyonal na kapakanan ng mga solo parent. 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻” 𝗔 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆

On May 7, 2026, the City Government of Isabela City under the leadership of Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office, successfully conducted the “Bayanihan sa Kalinisan” Food for Work Program. The activity served as a community-based initiative that promoted environmental protection while extending social assistance to vulnerable sectors in the community.

The program gathered participants composed of 4Ps exited households and Child Development Workers at the West Terminal in Aguada Barangay, while vendors and drivers/TODA members participated at the Pasangen Commercial Complex. The activity aimed to strengthen community participation in maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability through collective action and volunteerism.

Prior to the clean-up activities, a short orientation on disaster preparedness was conducted by representatives from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Bureau of Fire Protection Isabela. The discussion highlighted the importance of preparedness measures during emergencies and disasters, as well as fire safety awareness to help communities become more resilient and responsive during critical situations.

Meanwhile, representatives from the Isabela City Police Station discussed relevant laws and programs on social protection. The orientation emphasized the rights and responsibilities of community members and encouraged active participation in government initiatives that support public welfare and community development.

After the orientation, all participants rendered community service through waste collection, segregation, and area clean-up in their respective assigned locations. The activity demonstrated the spirit of bayanihan, unity, and cooperation among residents and stakeholders in promoting a cleaner and safer Isabela City.

In exchange for their participation and services rendered, food packs were distributed to all beneficiaries as immediate assistance to help support their daily needs. The distribution of food assistance reflected the local government’s continuing commitment to providing responsive and people-centered programs, especially for vulnerable sectors.

Present during the activity were CSWDO Nor-Aina Asmara, representatives from the DSWD Field Office IX- Disaster Response Management Division, and CSWD staff, who collectively facilitated and monitored the successful implementation of the program.
