SPEAK AP: Inspiring Young Patriots at Sumader ES!

“Ang tunay na bayani ay may paninindigan, tapang, at pagmamahal sa bayan!”

Today, October 21, 2026, Sumader Elementary School featured the life and legacy of General Artemio “Vibora” Ricarte, a Filipino revolutionary leader remembered for his courage, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to his principles.

Resource Speaker: Phoebe Ruth S. Gabriel, Teacher VI

The session highlighted the importance of Patriotism, Courage and Resilience, Integrity and Commitment to Principles, and Discipline and Leadership in shaping responsible and principled young citizens.

Aligned with SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, the activity emphasized the role of education in nurturing learners who value peace, uphold justice, and contribute to nation-building.

Bilang bahagi ng isang nagkakaisang komunidad,
nong asyoang kalang kaligta an, katsugan, ane bayar bata
Nangangako kaming itaguyod ang mga paaralang ligtas, mapagkalinga, at gumagalang sa dignidad at karapatan ng bawat bata.

Maninindigan kami laban sa bullying, karahasan, diskriminasyon, at anumang uri ng pang-aabuso.
Pakikinggan namin ang mga bata, igagalang ang kanilang tinig, at tutugon sa kanilang mga pangangailangan at hinaing.

Gagabayan at poprotektahan namin ang mga bata laban sa anumang
panganib, sa loob man o labas ng paaralan.

Binigyang-diin ni Sir Mark Anthony D. Diculen ang kahalagahan ng sama-samang pananagutan ng paaralan, pamilya, at buong komunidad sa pagpapanatili ng kaligtasan at kapakanan ng bawat bata. Ipinaalala niya na ang bawat mag-aaral ay may karapatang matuto sa isang ligtas, mapayapa, inklusibo, at mapagkalingang paaralan kung saan sila ay iginagalang, pinoprotektahan, at pinakikinggan.

Hinimok niya ang mga mag-aaral na maging mabait, maingat, at responsable sa pamamagitan ng paggalang sa kanilang mga kaklase, pag-iwas sa bullying at pananakit, pagsunod sa mga alituntunin sa kaligtasan, at agarang pagsasabi sa mga g**o, magulang, o pinagkakatiwalaang nakatatanda kapag may nararanasang pang-aabuso o hindi ligtas na sitwasyon.

Binigyang-diin din niya ang mahalagang papel ng mga g**o at magulang sa paglikha ng isang kapaligirang may paggalang, malasakit, at bukas na komunikasyon upang maramdaman ng bawat bata na sila ay ligtas at kabilang sa paaralan.

BEYOND RECALL: DESIGNING CLASSROOM STRATEGIES FOR HOTS

Sumader Elementary School successfully conducted its School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) today, October 8, 2026, with the theme “Beyond Recall: Designing Classroom Strategies for Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS).”

The session provided teachers with meaningful opportunities to deepen their understanding of HOTS and explore practical classroom strategies that move learners beyond simple recall toward analysis, critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and deeper learning.

Through collaboration, reflection, and sharing of best practices, the teachers strengthened their commitment to designing learning experiences that challenge learners to think deeply, ask meaningful questions, and apply what they learn in real-life situations.

Indeed, learning goes beyond remembering—it is about thinking, creating, analyzing, and making meaningful connections.

SUMADER ES SPEAKAP: Pagpupugay sa mga G**o

Noong Oktubre 5, 2026, isinagawa ng Sumader Elementary School ang SUMADER ES SPEAKAP bilang bahagi ng makabuluhang pagdiriwang ng World Teachers’ Day, isang espesyal na pagkakataon upang kilalanin at pasalamatan ang mga g**ong buong pusong naglilingkod para sa kapakanan at kinabukasan ng mga mag-aaral.

Tampok sa gawain sina Gianne Carl M. Andrada, SELG President, at Hanie Vey C. Lizardo, SELG Vice President, na nagbahagi ng makabuluhan at taos-pusong mensahe ng pagmamahal, paggalang, at pasasalamat sa mga g**o. Binigyang-diin nila na ang pagsisikap na mag-aral nang mabuti, pagiging responsable, at pagiging mabuting mag-aaral ay ilan sa pinakamagandang paraan upang masuklian ang dedikasyon, sakripisyo, at pagmamahal ng mga g**o.

Binigyang-halaga rin ng gawain ang Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), partikular ang SDG 4 – Quality Education at SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth. Ipinakita nito ang mahalagang papel ng mga g**o sa paghahatid ng de-kalidad, inklusibo, at makabuluhang edukasyon, gayundin sa pagtataguyod ng marangal at makabuluhang trabaho sa lipunan.

Sa pamamagitan ng SUMADER ES SPEAKAP, naipakita hindi lamang ang pagpapahalaga ng mga mag-aaral sa kanilang mga g**o kundi pati na rin ang mahalagang papel ng learner leadership sa pagbuo ng isang paaralang may kultura ng pasasalamat, respeto, at pagkakaisa.

Taos-pusong nagpapasalamat ang Sumader Elementary School sa mga SELG officers sa kanilang aktibong pakikilahok at mahalagang ambag sa matagumpay at makabuluhang pagdiriwang ng World Teachers’ Day. Ang kanilang tinig, pagsisikap, at pagmamalasakit ay nagsilbing magandang paalala na ang pagpapahalaga sa mga g**o ay higit pa sa isang araw ng pagdiriwang—ito ay isang pagpapahalagang dapat isabuhay araw-araw.

TRACING THE ROOTS OF SUMADER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Every school has a story—a story built not only through buildings and classrooms, but through the dedication of teachers, school leaders, parents, learners, and community members who came before us.

As we celebrate and preserve the history of Sumader Elementary School, we are reaching out to our Sumader-Camguidan-Payao elders, retired teachers, former school heads, alumni, parents, former learners, and longtime residents who may hold memories, records, photographs, or stories about the early years of our school.
