- Each cluster must have a minimum of one (1) and a maximum of three (3) applicants. Individual applicants are also allowed.
- Applicants must be female and:
- A registered voter of the Municipality of Batad; OR
- Currently enrolled in school in the Municipality of Batad and possesses Batadnon lineage; OR
- Possesses Batadnon lineage.

- Must be at least 5’3” in height
- Must be 18–25 years old and single
- Must not be a title holder in any higher-level pageant such as Provincial, Regional, or National competitions

This is to ensure more efficient office operations and better delivery of public service to all Batadnons.

𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞-𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Local Government Unit of Batad conducted an Executive-Legislative Meeting on May 28, 2026 at the SB Session Hall to discuss matters concerning the operation and management of the public market.

Included in the discussion were market operations, electric and water supply concerns, market security, and the proper placement of ambulant vendors.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for the executive and legislative departments to coordinate and discuss possible actions to improve services and maintain order within the public market.

The LGU Batad continues to strengthen cooperation among offices to ensure efficient public service delivery for the welfare of the community.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚-𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐢𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐧

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: On May 28, Dr. Veminrose Clariza-Samuel, outgoing Campus Administrator of NISU Batad Campus, paid an Exit Courtesy Call to Mayor Elvira P. Alarcon.

The meeting became an opportunity to look back on the strong partnership between Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) Batad Campus and the Local Government Unit of Batad during the tenure of Dr. Clariza-Samuel.

Through the years, NISU Batad Campus and LGU Batad worked together in implementing various programs and initiatives that benefited students, educators, and the community. These collaborations included community extension activities, environmental and agricultural programs, youth development initiatives, educational support services, and other community-based engagements that promoted inclusive growth and public service.

Mayor Alarcon expressed appreciation for Dr. Clariza-Samuel’s dedication and commitment in strengthening the relationship between the academe and the local government, recognizing her contribution to programs that created positive impact in the municipality.

The Municipality of Batad extends its sincerest gratitude to Dr. Veminrose Clariza-Samuel for her years of dedicated service and wishes her continued success in her future endeavors.

𝟒𝟎𝟎 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐋𝐀𝐖𝐀 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐈𝐍𝐇𝐈

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: On 27 May 2026, hundreds of Batadnons gathered in celebration as the Municipality of Batad conducted the Turn-Over Ceremony of Project LAWA at BINHI together with the Induction of newly elected PLaB Officers.

A total of 400 beneficiaries from various barangays in the municipality took part in the program, including residents from Alapasco, Bulak Norte, Bulak Sur, Calangag, Embarcadero, Poblacion, Tapian, Pasayan, Cabagohan, Alinsolong, Hamod, and Tanao.

Following the ceremonial turn-over, beneficiaries received their corresponding payouts under the Cash-for-Training and Cash-for-Work program. Participants completed a total of 20 working days composed of three days of training, 15 days of community work, and two days dedicated to sustainability planning. Each beneficiary received ₱513 per day for their participation in the program.

Project LAWA at BINHI continues to provide livelihood opportunities while strengthening environmental protection, disaster preparedness, and sustainable community practices in the municipality.

The LGU Batad, under the leadership of Mayor Elvira P. Alarcon and Vice Mayor Steven Michael Y. Andrada, would like to express its gratitude to all partner agencies, barangay officials, and beneficiaries whose cooperation contributed to the successful implementation of the Project LAWA at BINHI in the municipality.

The PSWDO Province Of Iloilo located at the 2nd Floor, Iloilo Provincial Capitol will now accept application for the Indigenous People (IP) Educational Assistance Program and the Person with Disabilities (PWD) Scholarship Program starting 𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐘 𝟐𝟎 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

These scholarship programs aim to provide educational assistance to economically-disadvantaged and deserving IP and PWD college students, enabling them to avail and finish quality tertiary education in public schools in the province.
