Negosyo Center Conducts Negosyo Center Information Caravan in Barangay Polocate, Banga, Aklan

The Department of Trade and Industry Aklan Provincial Office (DTI Aklan) through the Negosyo Center Banga in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Banga headed by Hon. Noel L. Redison and Polocate Barangay Council headed by Hon. Dolores Villanueva, conducted Negosyo Center Information Caravan to the MSMEs and aspiring entrepreneurs of Barangay Polocate, Banga, Aklan on June 3, 2026.

The activity officially opened with messages of support from Punong Barangay Hon. Dolores Villanueva and from the Municipal Agriculturist's Office thru Mr. Jonard Tobese, RBO Focal Person and FITS Center Manager.

Meanwhile, Ms. Judy Ann B. Rendon, TIDS, provided an overview of the DTI and Negosyo Center (NC) programs and services. Ms. Iris Mae I. Sarabia, TIDS, discussed Consumer Rights and Responsibilities and other Fair Trade Laws, while Ms. Geralyn V. Gatlabayan, SB Corporation Provincial Coordinator, presented financing opportunities for MSMEs through the Small Business Corporation. Ms. Irene Klipzy D. Tan, Revenue Officer II, also presented an overview of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), including the requirements and procedures for new business registration.

To close the program, Hon. Dolores Villanueva of Barangay Polocate shared her gratitude for the speakers and attendees for the successful conduct of the activity.

NC-IC is a program of DTI that aims to increase the awareness of people about the services offered by DTI through Negosyo Centers as well as the partner agencies, identify MSMEs with operations within the barangay, and conduct business development assistance and/or services in the barangay.

The Department of Trade and Industry Aklan Provincial Office (DTI Aklan) through the Negosyo Center Batan in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Batan headed by Hon. Michael R. Ramos and Poblacion Barangay Council headed by Hon. Mariquita Sumalinog, conducted a Negosyo Center Information Caravan to the MSMEs and aspiring entrepreneurs of Barangay Poblacion, Batan, Aklan on May 11, 2026.
This activity was opened with messages from Mr. Romel L. Amihan, OIC Asst. Regional Director/ Concurrent Provincial Director, DTI Aklan, Hon. Michael P. Ramos, Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Batan and Brgy. Captain Mariquita Sumalinog of Brgy. Poblacion.
Partner agencies presented their programs and services aimed at MSME development, including the Municipal Business Permit and Licensing Office (MBPLO), represented by Ms. Lyn Bautista , BPLO Designate; Bureau of Internal Revenue represented by Ms. Joanha Marie Silla, Revenue Officer III
