๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: In line with the observance of the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) 2026, the Headquarters Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog (HCGDSTL) actively participated in the MANA Mo 2026 Nationwide Simultaneous Blowing of Shipsโ€™ Horns on 01 September 2026 at Batangas Port.

The activity highlighted the importance of the Philippinesโ€™ seas and waterways, encouraging everyone to take part in protecting and preserving our maritime resources. It also served as a reminder that maintaining a safe and sustainable maritime environment is a shared responsibility of all Filipinos.

All operational vessels of CGDSTL within its Area of Responsibility (AOR), together with other participating maritime stakeholders, simultaneously sounded their shipsโ€™ horns as a symbol of unity and commitment toward promoting maritime safety, security, and environmental protection.

Through this nationwide activity, HCGDSTL reaffirmed its dedication to strengthening public awareness on the significance of the Philippines as a maritime nation and its continuous efforts in ensuring a safe, clean, and secure maritime environment.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), intercepted an individual allegedly in possession of suspected illegal drugs during a security operation at Batangas Port, Batangas City, on 31 August 2026.

Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Batangas City received information regarding an individual exhibiting unusual behavior within the port's marshalling area. Port security personnel subsequently conducted a security frisk, leading to the discovery of suspected illegal drugs allegedly concealed inside the individual's belongings.

CGSS Batangas City immediately coordinated with the Coast Guard K9 Team Batangas and PDEA. During the subsequent K9 paneling, Coast Guard Working Dogs gave positive indications on the suspected illegal drugs.

The recovered evidence and the subject individual were subsequently turned over to PDEA for laboratory examination, appropriate disposition, and the filing of appropriate charges in accordance with existing laws.

The successful joint operation underscores the continued commitment of the PCG and its partner law-enforcement agencies to strengthen port security and prevent the possible transportation of illegal drugs through the country's maritime transportation system.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) swiftly responded to a report involving an individual trapped while holding onto a support post beneath the end portion of Anilao Port in Brgy. Anilao Proper, Mabini, Batangas, on 30 August 2026.

Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Mabini personnel immediately proceeded to the area and successfully rescued the individual using a life ring and rope. According to the victim, he went swimming after fishing but encountered strong currents and experienced cramps, preventing him from safely returning to shore.

Following the rescue, the individual was provided with initial assistance and transported by MDRRMO Mabini for medical assessment. His minor scratches were treated, and no apparent signs of serious injury were observed before he was allowed to return home.

The PCG continues to remind the public to avoid swimming and other water activities during adverse sea conditions, particularly amid strong currents associated with the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Gamit ang loader ng MDRRMO Talisay at mga lubid panghila, maingat na isinagawa ang operasyon upang maiangat at maibalik sa maayos na posisyon ang tumagilid na truck mula sa gilid ng kalsada.

Matapos ang tatlong pagtatangkang paghila, matagumpay na na-recover at naipuwesto ang truck sa ligtas na bahagi ng kalsada, na nagbigay-daan sa pag-clear ng apektadong lugar at sa muling ligtas na pagdaan ng mga motorista.

Batay sa huling Heavy Rainfall Warning ng DOST-PAGASA ngayong ika-29 ng Agosto 2026, ganap na 11 AM, nakataas ang Red Warning Level sa mga Bayan ng Nasugbu, Lian, Calatagan, Tuy, at Balayan, kung saan maaaring asahan ang seryosong pagbaha sa mga flood-prone na mga lugar.

Nakataas naman sa Orange Warning Level ang mga Bayan ng Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balete, Bauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Laurel, Lemery, Lobo, Mabini, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, San Jose, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Taal, Talisay, Tingloy, at Taysan, gayundin sa mga Lungsod ng Lipa, Santo Tomas, Calaca, Tanauan, at Lungsod ng Batangas. Dito ay maaaring asahan ang banta ng pagbaha.

Samantala, ang mga bayan naman ng Rosario, San Juan, at Padre Garcia ay kasalukuyang nasa Yellow Warning Level, na posibleng makaranas ng pagbaha.

๐“๐ˆ๐๐†๐๐€๐: Tumulong ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) sa preemptive evacuation ng mga residenteng nakatira malapit sa ilog sa Sitio Pulang Bubong, Brgy. Calayo, Nasugbu, Batangas, ngayong ika-29 ng Agosto 2026, dahil sa tuloy-tuloy na pag-ulan dulot ng Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Sa maagap na pagkilos ng Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Nasugbu, kasama ang Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) ng Nasugbu, ligtas na nailikas ang 28 indibidwal at pansamantalang inilipat sa Calayo Elementary School, ang itinalagang evacuation center.

Patuloy na naka-heightened alert ang CGSS Nasugbu at nakikipag-ugnayan sa mga kinauukulang ahensya at LGU habang mino-monitor ang mga lugar na madaling bahain at gumuho.
