𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶!
Through CSC Resolution No. 2600596 dated 30 April 2026, the Civil Service Commission grants the Overseas Filipino Workers–Preference Rating (OFW-PR) to qualified OFWs based on length of overseas work or foreign employment and work performance.
Starting with the 9 August 2026 Civil Service Examination, qualified OFWs who obtain a general rating of not lower than 70.00 may be granted additional civil service exam points, subject to CSC guidelines.
𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆?
• OFW who has been engaged, is engaged or to be engaged in renumerated activity abroad, regardless of country of destination, nature of work, salary level or employment status.
• OFW who has been contracted for overseas employment but has yet to leave the Philippines
𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
• Must have rendered an aggregate of at least five years of overseas employment from 1 January 2000 up to the date of application, whether continuous or intermittent; and
• Must have applied and taken the scheduled CSE beginning 9 August 2026 and thereafter, whether through pen-and-paper or other modes, and obtained a failed general rating of not lower than 70.
This initiative recognizes the professionalism, dedication, and sacrifices of our OFWs and opens another pathway for them to continue serving the nation as Lingkod Bayani.

We just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Roche Philippines to provide our women teachers and employees with better access to early clinical screening, diagnosis, and clear referral pathways for follow-up care.
Napakahalaga ng hakbang na ito dahil halos 80% ng ating mga g**o ay kababaihan. At sa pamamagitan ng early detection, mas mabibigyan natin sila ng pagkakataong malabanan ang banta ng mga malulubhang sakit gaya ng cancer at makuha ang kinakailangang medical attention. Ito ay bahagi ng ating patuloy na pagtugon sa adhikain ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr. na bigyang prayoridad ang kapakanan ng bawat g**o.
The pilot implementation in SDO Tacloban City has already proven the effectiveness of this program—and we believe it is only right to expand this initiative to reach more of our hardworking teachers and allied staff across the country.

Division conducts Hybrid Onboarding and Send‑Off for ARAL Summer Program Tutors

The Schools Division Office successfully conducted a Hybrid Onboarding and Send‑Off Ceremony for ARAL Summer Program Tutors, with participants attending in person at the Bulwagan Ala Eh and virtually through Microsoft Teams, May 5.

The activity formally marked the start of the ARAL Summer Program and gathered tutors, and members of the division implementation team in a unified send‑off despite varied modes of participation.

In her opening message, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Catherine Maranan, CESO VI, emphasized the importance of the ARAL Program as a timely response to learners who need focused academic support.

The highlight of the activity was the inspirational message delivered by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Hermogenes M. Panganiban, CESO V, who recognized the dedication of ARAL tutors and encouraged them to approach every tutorial session with patience, compassion, and a clear sense of purpose.

Key reminders on punctuality, attendance, documentation, and coordination were shared to ensure smooth program implementation, with reassurances that adjustments are expected during the initial phase.

A brief Commitment Moment concluded the activity, as tutors collectively pledged to guide every learner with care and dedication. The ceremony officially sent off ARAL tutors as they begin their tutorial sessions for the summer program, reinforcing the division’s commitment to supporting both tutors and learners.

Ang GASTPE ay batas ng inakda ng aking ama, si dating Senate President Edgardo Angara, noong 1989. Dahil dito, mas maraming bata ang nagkaroon ng pagkakataong makapag-aral sa pribadong paaralan, nang hindi gaanong mabigat sa bulsa ng magulang.
