KUMINTANG ILAYA, Batangas City โ A total of 160 student-beneficiaries were covered under the iSKolar ng Ku-iLA Educational Assistance Program, with the distribution of educational assistance held on July 26, 2026, reaffirming Barangay Kumintang Ilaya's commitment to supporting the educational aspirations of its youth.
The program was institutionalized through Barangay Ordinance No. 1, Series of 2025, principally authored and sponsored by SK Chairman Aiken Magpulhin, establishing a sustainable initiative that provides educational assistance to qualified student-beneficiaries of the barangay.
In her message, Punong Barangay Nerma Bustos underscored the value of education as a powerful instrument for personal growth and community development, encouraging students to pursue their studies with determination, integrity, and a sense of responsibility. Joining her was Barangay Councilor Joko Magpulhin, who likewise conveyed his support for the youth and emphasized the importance of making the most of opportunities made available through the program.
The gathering also featured a message of faith from the Every Nation Campus Batangas team, which shared the Gospel and encouraged the students to remain steadfast in their purpose, reminding them that academic success is strengthened by character, wisdom, and trust in God.
The iSKolar ng Ku-iLA Educational Assistance Program stands as one of Barangay Kumintang Ilaya's flagship initiatives for youth development, reflecting the shared commitment of the barangay leadership and the Sangguniang Kabataan to invest in education and create opportunities that empower the next generation.
As the program continues to grow, Barangay Kumintang Ilaya remains steadfast in its vision of cultivating empowered, educated, and socially responsible young leaders who will contribute to the progress of the community.
