Mask up Batuananon! 😷

The Provincial Government of Bohol reminds the public to take necessary precautions amid the “Acutely Unhealthy” Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 252 recorded as of 11:00 AM today, September 3, 2026.

The haze has been linked to forest fires in Kalimantan, Indonesia, with winds carrying smoke and fine particles into the Philippines.

For your safety, wear a well-fitted N95/KN95 mask when going outdoors, keep doors and windows closed, avoid strenuous outdoor activities, and take extra precautions to protect children, senior citizens, and individuals with asthma or heart conditions.

Stay indoors when possible and continue monitoring official air quality updates from the DENR-EMB.

Let us remain vigilant and protect ourselves and our families from the effects of haze and poor air quality.

Yesterday, Mayor Mawell Tumanda led the inspection of a potential water source in Upper Cabacnitan for the proposed Waterworks Project.

He was joined by SB Member Jeje Palingcod, MPDC Eliseo Sumampong, Engr. Keith Endres, Barangay Captains Alejandro Bojo and Rolando Pataca, along with barangay officials and local residents.

This initiative aims to provide a reliable and sustainable water supply for the Batuananons.
