𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍, 𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 & 𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍-𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐌𝐑𝐬 𝐀𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐁 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐎

The Municipality of Bauko marked another milestone today, September 3, 2026, with the successful Inauguration, Blessing, and Turn-over Ceremonies for two rehabilitated Farm-to-Market Road projects:

𝐓𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐲–𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦-𝐭𝐨-𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 in Barangay Banao; and
𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐨–𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐛 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦-𝐭𝐨-𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 in Barangay Leseb.

Funded through the Department of the Interior and Local Government–Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (DILG-FALGU), these projects are expected to improve accessibility and provide better road connectivity for the residents, particularly in transporting agricultural products and accessing essential services.

The inauguration, ribbon-cutting, and turn-over ceremonies were led by DILG Provincial Director Anthony Ballog and Mayor Randolf Awisan, represented by Atty. Sebastian Badongen, together with Vice Mayor Ashley Sili with SB Officials, Barangay Captain Fernando Cadoy of Banao and Barangay Captain Noel Langan of Leseb, as well as personnel from the Local Government Unit and the respective project Contractors.

The blessing of the completed projects was officiated by Rev. Al Govend C. Cadoy.

The Municipal Government of Bauko extends its gratitude to the DILG and all partners involved in making these infrastructure projects possible. May these improved Farm-to-Market Roads contribute to better mobility, strengthened agricultural development, and improved opportunities for the people of Barangays Banao and Leseb.

1. Sabangan-Maba-ay - Abatan Bauko Rd.
2. Balili Suyo-Taccong-Supang, Sabangan Rd.

✅ All other national roads within our area of responsibilty are passable to traffic

ROAD CONDITION

Backfilling/Downgrading operations are ongoing at the Bauko Sinking Area along the Mountain Province–Ilocos Sur via Tue Road.

Equipments use:
1 DPWH Crawler type backhoe (For downgrading and leveling at site)
1 DPWH Wheel type backhoe (For loading of embankment materials at ampingke
2 DPWH Dumptruck (For hauling)
1 DPWH-CAR Ten Wheeler Dump truck (For hauling)

Road maintenance crews continue to conduct routine maintenance activities such as clearing of road covers, clearing of clogged inlets/canals and Curb & Gutter.
