The Philippines is set to become the epicenter of continental martial arts next week as it hosts the 11th Asia-Oceania SAMBO Championships at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Malate, Manila.

The high-profile tournament, running from June 23 to 26, 2026, will draw more than 600 elite athletes from 31 countries across the Asia-Oceania region. The international delegation includes global combat sports powerhouses such as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Iran, and Syria.

In support of sports development and the promotion of Filipino athletes on the international stage, the Local Government Unit of Bayawan City, under the leadership of City Mayor John "Jack" T. Raymond Jr., expresses its full support to the Philippine SAMBO Team as they compete in the 11th Asia-Oceania SAMBO Championships. The LGU remains committed to empowering athletes and fostering excellence in sports as a vital part of nation-building and youth development.

The City Government of Bayawan also invites all sports enthusiasts and supporters to witness this prestigious international competition and rally behind our Filipino athletes as they proudly represent the country on the continental stage.
