On October 3, 2025, personnel of the Bayawan City Police Station, under the leadership of PLTCOL JOESON B PARALLAG, Chief of Police, conducted an information dissemination campaign at the residents of Brgy Narra, Bayawan City Negros Oriental as part of their intensified efforts to strengthen police community relations.

During the activity, flyers on disaster preparedness, earthquake safety tips, anti-criminality, anti-illegal drugs, anti-terrorism awareness, and the harmful effects of smoking were distributed to the public. The campaign also emphasized the proper use of the 911 emergency hotline for urgent situations, reminding the public that prank calls and false reports are punishable by law.

Two Counts of Acts of Lasciviousness

The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOrPPO) under the steadfast leadership of PCOL CRISCENTE C TIGUELO, Officer-In-Charge continues its relentless pursuit of justice and commitment to safeguarding peace and order in the province.

At about 2:10 PM on September 18, 2025, Personnel of Siaton MPS led by PSMS Erwin Tubat, Intel PNCO together with 5th MC, RMFB NIR under the direct supervision of PCPT BENJAMIN J. FUENTES, OIC effected the arrest of a Most Wanted Person for Two (2) counts of Acts of Lasciviousness.

The suspect, ranked Top 1 Most Wanted at the Municipal Level and Top 8 at the Provincial Level, was arrested by virtue of a warrant for Acts of Lasciviousness under Art. 336 of the RPC in relation to Sec. 5(b) of RA 7610 with Criminal Case number 2025-30915 and 30916 issued by SHIELA LYNN MARTINEZ CATALAN BESARIO, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 7th Judicial Region, Branch 31, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental issued on June 30, 2025 with a fixed bail of Four Hundred Thousand pesos (Php400,000.00) for his temporary liberty. The suspect is now in the custody of Siaton MPS for proper disposition.

Personnel of the Bayawan City Police Station, under the leadership of PLTCOL JOESON B PARALLAG, Chief of Police, in coordination with Bayawan City Election Officer ATTY DOMINIC IAN S MARIGOMEN, and in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, the LGU of Bayawan City, non-government organizations, and other concerned government agencies, meticulously strategized the security preparations and deployment of personnel to various polling centers and other strategic areas.
These efforts were aimed at deterring and promptly addressing any potential untoward incidents during the May 12, 2025 National and Local Elections in Bayawan City. The comprehensive preparation was designed to ensure the smooth flow of the electoral process and to encourage the public to peacefully and confidently exercise their right to vote.

CHIEF PNP, NAGBIGAY NG BUONG SUPORTA SA FILIPINO-CHINESE COMMUNITY SA GITNA NG MGA USAPIN NG SIGURIDAD

Sa harap ng mga ulat ng pagkidnap at pagkamatay ng ilang Chinese nationals, agad na nagpatawag ng meeting ngayong araw ang Philippine National Police (PNP) kasama ang Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FCCCII), na pinangunahan ni Chief PNP, Police General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil.

Tinalakay sa pagpupulong ang pag-aalala ng Filipino-Chinese community hinggil sa kanilang kaligtasan, lalo na matapos ang mga insidenteng nagdulot ng takot hindi lamang sa negosyante kundi maging sa pangkalahatang publiko.

Tiniyak ni General Marbil sa FCCCII na ang PNP ay naka-focus at “on top of the situation.” Aniya, ginagawa na ng kapulisan ang lahat upang mabilis na makilala at mahuli ang mga responsable sa mga krimen. “Alam po namin ang bigat at kahalagahan ng mga kasong ito. Buong pwersa ng PNP ang nangangakong agad na masolusyonan ito at maibalik ang kumpiyansa ng publiko sa ating kapayapaan at kaayusan,” diin ng Chief PNP.

Kasama sa napagkasunduan ng PNP at FCCCII ang pagbuo ng isang programa para sa mas pinaigting na ugnayan at maagap na pagtukoy sa mga posibleng banta. Kabilang dito ang mas matibay na koordinasyon sa mga lokal na pulisya, pagpapaigting ng surveillance sa mga business hubs, at pagbibigay ng safety briefings sa mga kasaping kumpanya at komunidad.

“Lubos ang aming pag-aalala at hindi kami titigil hangga’t hindi namin nakukuha ang hustisya para sa mga biktima. Lahat ng investigative resources ay activated at lahat ng kakayahan ng PNP ay gagamitin para hindi na maulit ang ganitong mga insidente,” dagdag pa ni General Marbil.

Pinawi rin ng PNP ang mga pangamba tungkol sa umano’y walang kaukulang batas na umiiral at ang negatibong epekto nito sa imahe ng Pilipinas sa international community, partikular sa mga foreign investors at bisita. Ayon kay General Marbil, ligtas pa rin ang bansa para sa negosyo at turismo, at ang kapulisan ay nananatiling alerto at handang tugunan ang anumang banta sa kapayapaan.

“Nanawagan kami ng pagkakaisa at pagiging kalmado sa gitna ng sitwasyon. Ang mga insidenteng ito ay hindi sumasalamin sa kabuuan ng ating bansa. Ang tunay na repleksyon natin ay ang ating determinasyon na pairalin ang batas at protektahan ang lahat ng tao, Pilipino man o banyaga, na namumuhay at namumuhunan sa Pilipinas,” pagtatapos ni General Marbil.

Ang nasabing pagpupulong sa pagitan ng PNP at FCCCII ay nagpapakita ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan para sa kapayapaan at katarungan, at patuloy na pagpapatibay ng ugnayan ng kapulisan at sektor ng negosyo.
