Today, May 28 is NATIONAL FLAG DAY, the true date when the Philippine flag was hoisted by Aguinaldo after victory in the Battle of Alapan.

According to historical accounts, the National Flag Day commemorates the first use of the Philippine flag after the victory in the Battle of Alapan in 1898. The battle was fought between the Filipino revolutionaries led by Aguinaldo and Spanish troops. The Spanish were defeated, and the revolutionaries recaptured the province of Cavite. After the battle, Aguinaldo entered Cavite City and unfurled the would-be national flag for the first time,” according to the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP).

The National Flag Day, officially commemorated via Presidential Proclamation 374 signed in 1965 (and with Executive Order 79 issued in 1994 extending the celebration from May 28 to June 12)......
Let us celebrate National Flag Days together by displaying the National Flag at our homes, offices, and other buildings starting from May 28 to June 12.

On April 19, 2023 at OOA 1420H at the Baybay City District Jail Office.
SJO3 Richelieu G Nuñez, Deputy Warden for Administration under the direct supervision of Jail Warden CINSP MARVIN L CUBIO received from the Baybay Emergency Response Unit (BERU) personnel three (3) units of Kenwood Handheld Radio to be used directly and exclusively to BJMP Baybay for its daily operation purpose especially during calamities when Telcos are down.

The three (3) units of Kenwood Handheld Radio is the initial delivery as part of the two-way communication equipments requested by the BJMP Baybay from the LGU Baybay, to follow are two (2) units of Base Radio.
Official call sign for BJMP is also approved by BERU tru engr. Rhyse M. Austero, MPA, CDRRMO Head.

: Baybay City District Jail, Assistant Jail Warden SJO2 RICHELIEU G NUÑEZ under the instruction of the Baybay City District Jail Warden CINSP MARVIN L CUBIO met with sir Lazaro Bastasa of Baybay City Technical and Vocational (Tec-Voc) training center head for a discussion of a viability skills training program to our PDL to equipped them with a survival skills in preparation for their eventual reintegration to the community. One of the proposed skills training program considered to be introduced to our PDL is Electrical Installation and Maintenance a TESDA NC-II certified program.
