Her unwavering love and service to the people of Baybay and the legacy she built will forever remain and be remembered by generations to come.

The City of Baybay mourns with profound sadness the passing of Hon. Carmen L. Cari, fondly remembered as the Mother of Baybay City.

A woman of strength, compassion, and dedicated public service, Ma'am Carmen devoted much of her life to serving the people of Baybay. Her leadership, wisdom, and genuine love for the city have left an enduring mark on the community she served.

Her passing is a great loss to Baybay City and to the many lives she touched through her years of public service.

The City of Baybay extends its deepest condolences to the Cari family, relatives, friends, and all who mourn her passing.

May her legacy of service and love for Baybay live on in the hearts of the people she served.

As part of our Linggo ng Kabataan celebration, we conducted the Numeracy and Literacy Tutorial Program, an initiative of the Sangguniang Kabataan – City of Baybay aimed at strengthening the foundational skills of our young learners.

We are grateful for the dedication of our very own SK Chairpersons who are Licensed Professional Teachers, education professionals, and student-teachers, who generously shared their time, knowledge, and passion for teaching.

LNK INTER-SCHOOL ACADEMIC & CREATIVE COMPETITION

As part of this year's Linggo ng Kabataan celebration, we proudly organized an Inter-School Academic and Creative Competition, bringing together the brightest and most creative young minds of Baybay.

The competition was joined by all 12 Senior High Schools of the Baybay City Schools Division, together with the Franciscan College of the Immaculate Conception Senior High School.

Shannen Vidal, the Sunset Fun Run brought together Sangguniang Kabataan officials from all 92 barangays, youth organizations, and running enthusiasts from across the city in a celebration of unity, wellness, and youth empowerment.

The City of Baybay – Sangguniang Kabataan joins the celebration of International Youth Day. With this year’s theme, “Different Contexts, Same Aspirations,” we embody the spirit of young people who, despite coming from different backgrounds, communities, and circumstances, share the same aspirations: to be heard, empowered, included, and given the opportunity to shape a better future.

Too young to lead, yet somehow old enough to be called the nation’s hope. This International Youth Day, we celebrate not only the youth we are, but the change-makers we are becoming.
