IN PHOTOS | Experts, researchers, practitioners, and partner institutions gathered on October 1–2, 2026 at ATI-RTC 8, VSU, Baybay City, Leyte for the Writeshop on the Finalization of the Organic Ube Production Protocol.

The activity brought together science, field experience, and good organic practices to review, validate, and refine a practical guide for organic Ube production.

Once finalized, the protocol is envisioned to serve as a national reference for training, extension, and field implementation, supporting farmers and stakeholders toward more sustainable and consistent organic ube production across the Philippines.

Both belong to the same botanical family and produce their flowers as flower heads made up of many tiny individual flowers, rather than a single flower. In sunflowers, these tiny flowers are packed together in the familiar large flower head. Lettuce also produces a branching flower stalk with small flower heads when it bolts and reaches the flowering stage.

Ang DOST-PAGASA Farm Weather Forecast ay isang agricultural weather product ng DOST-PAGASA na mas nakatuon sa mga pangangailangan at desisyon ng farmers, hindi lang sa ordinaryong weather forecast.

Karaniwang makikita rito ang:

▫️Agri-weather conditions – halimbawa, partly cloudy, scattered rains, thunderstorms
▫️Wind conditions
▫️Temperature – hiwalay para sa lowland at upland
▫️Relative Humidity (RH)
▫️Leaf Wetness – mahalaga sa assessment ng kondisyon na maaaring makaapekto sa crops at disease development
▫️Soil Moisture Condition – wet, moist, o dry
