The Bureau of Fire Protection Region IX, under the strong leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐊𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐋 𝐓 𝐀𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐋, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Acting Regional Director, and the supervision of 𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗟𝗨𝗖𝗜𝗢 𝗣 𝗔𝗟𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗡, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, Provincial Fire Marshal, the Shift A personnel of Bayog Municipal Fire Station (Bayog MFS), under the direct supervision of SFO4 Arnil S Miano, MPA, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, successfully conducted the Exit Drill in the Home (EDITH) at Purok 7, Barangay Poblacion, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.

The activity successfully reinforced household participation in fire prevention and emergency preparedness through the Exit Drill in the Home (EDITH). It enhanced public awareness, promoted safe practices, and strengthened the community's capacity to respond effectively during emergencies.

FIRE SAFETY TIPS | PLAN AND PRACTICE A FIRE ESCAPE ROUTE

The Bayog Municipal Fire Station (Bayog MFS) reminds everyone that preparing for a fire emergency can save lives. Every household should have a fire escape plan and practice it regularly so that every family member knows what to do in case of fire.

Remember these important fire safety tips:

1. Create a fire escape plan for your home.
2. Identify at least two exits from every room whenever possible.
3. Designate a safe outdoor meeting place for your family.
4. Practice your fire escape drill regularly to ensure everyone is prepared.

If a fire occurs, evacuate immediately and never go back inside a burning building.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region IX, under the leadership of FSSUPT KADIL T ACALUL, DSC, Acting Regional Director, and under the supervision of FSUPT LUCIO P ALBARACIN, DSC, Provincial Fire Marshal, through the Bayog Municipal Fire Station Shift A personnel led by SFO4 Arnil S Miano, MPA, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, successfully conducted an orientation on the School Emergency Response Plan (SERP) at National Technical-Vocational High School, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.

The activity aimed to strengthen the preparedness and awareness of school personnel and community members by equipping them with the proper knowledge and response procedures during emergencies and disasters. The orientation highlighted the importance of developing and implementing an effective School Emergency Response Plan to ensure the safety and protection of students, teachers, school personnel, and other stakeholders.

Through this initiative, the Bureau of Fire Protection remains committed to enhancing disaster preparedness, building resilient communities, and promoting a culture of safety in educational institutions.

High temperatures inside a parked vehicle can cause power banks, mobile phones, laptops, and other electronic devices to overheat, increasing the risk of fire or explosion. Protect your belongings and help prevent fire incidents by taking your gadgets with you whenever possible.

Fire Safety Reminders:
