Innovation, sustainability, and resilience took center stage as the Provincial Local Government Unit of Nueva Vizcaya, under the leadership of Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito, through the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development (PROCEDE) Office, successfully conducted the 1st Governor's Sustainability Awards on June 24, 2026.
More than a competition, the event supported the Honorable Governor's directive on austerity and energy conservation measures amid rising petroleum prices and continuing global energy market volatility. It is likewise aligned with the national energy conservation directives of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., particularly Executive Order No. 110, which declared a state of national energy emergency due to the impact of the Middle East conflict on energy supply and fuel prices. Through this initiative, participating cooperatives showcased practical energy-saving, cost-efficient, and sustainable business strategies that enable them to address rising fuel, electricity, and transportation costs while strengthening the resilience of their enterprises.
๐ Our appreciation to all participating cooperatives: Villaverde Development Cooperative, Midlanders Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Saint Vincent Parish Multi-Purpose Cooperative, San Luis OFW Family Circle Agriculture Cooperative, and Nueva Vizcaya Alay Kapwa Multi-Purpose Cooperative.
