Noong April 16, 2026, nagtipon ang PYDC sa Ammungan Guest House para sa kanilang 2nd Quarter Regular Meeting. Pinangunahan ito ni BM Hon. Nickson Millo upang talakayin ang mga nalalapit na programa ng probinsya, kung saan sila ay magiging bahagi bilang pakikiisa sa mga inisyatibo para sa youth empowerment.

𝑺𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒕 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝑻𝒊 𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒊𝒉𝒂𝒏: 𝑪𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉, 𝑰𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑾𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏.

In line with the nationwide celebration of National Women’s Month, the Provincial Local Government Unit of Nueva Vizcaya, led by Honorable Governor Atty. Jose “Jing” Gambito, through the Provincial Local Youth Development Office, in partnership with the Nueva Vizcaya Youth Leaders Network Inc. and the Office of the Provincial SK Federation President, successfully conducted 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝘂𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗧𝗶 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻 (𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻) last March 30, 2026.

This meaningful initiative placed the spotlight on women with disabilities within the PLGU, in observance of 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆—𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 𝟳𝟰𝟰, 𝘀. 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟰. The activity championed the protection, inclusion, and empowerment of women with disabilities, ensuring their equal rights and opportunities across all aspects of society.

Grounded in key policies such as the𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 (𝗥𝗔 𝟵𝟳𝟭𝟬), 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 (𝗥𝗔 𝟳𝟮𝟳𝟳, 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱), 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝘁 (𝗥𝗔 𝟭𝟭𝟯𝟭𝟯), the program reinforced the government’s commitment to gender equality, accessibility, and safe environments for all.

Through data from the Governor’s Office – Persons with Disability Affairs Division, the activity proudly recognized fourteen (14) women with disabilities personnel from the PLGU—honoring their contributions, resilience, and invaluable role in public service.

One of the most notable takeaways from the activity was the realization among participants that while March is widely known as Women’s Month, Women with Disabilities Day remains less recognized. This highlighted the importance of initiatives like this in bridging awareness gaps and strengthening inclusive practices in the workplace.

More than a celebration, Sagut Para Ti Kababaihan became a platform for 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀-𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Through simple yet thoughtful gestures, it reminded everyone that recognition matters—and that 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻, 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱.

Because every 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 is a 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻.

SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN MANDATORY TRAINING 2026

The Provincial Local Government of Nueva Vizcaya, under the leadership of Jose V. Gambito, through the Provincial Local Youth Development Office (PLYDO) in partnership with the Office of the Provincial Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, successfully conducted the 2026 Sangguniang Kabataan Mandatory Training (SKMT) for Sangguniang Kabataan officials and Local Youth Development Council members across the province.

The SKMT was conducted to equip SK officials and LYDO members with the necessary knowledge, competencies, and practical skills needed to effectively and responsibly perform their duties and functions. The training delivered the modules outlined in the Mandatory Training Facilitator's Guides in accordance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 10742, as amended by Republic Act No. 11768.

The training catered to newly appointed and replacement
LYDC members as well as Sangguniang Kabataan officials who required orientation and capacity-building to properly carry out their roles in youth governance and community development.

A total of 68 participants attended the training, composed of
61 Sangguniang Kabataan officials and 7 Local Youth Development Council members from various municipalities in the province. The SK participants included 3 Chairpersons, 18
Secretaries, 21 Treasurers, and 19 Members.

Participant distribution per municipality was as follows: 8 from Ambaguio, 9 from Aritao, 1 from Bagabag, 2 from Bambang, 10 from Bayombong, 6 from Diadi, 2 from Dupax del Sur, 2 from Kasibu, 4 from Kayapa, 14 from Quezon, 5 from Solano, and 5 from Villaverde.

As a result of the training, 100% of the participants successfully completed all required modules and received their Certificates of Completion for the mandatory training.
With this, the participants are now fully qualified to legally assume their roles and responsibilities as SK officials and LYDC members.

The successful conduct of the SKMT strengthened the
capacity of youth leaders in Nueva Vizcaya and reinforced their commitment to responsive governance, youth
empowerment, and
sustained participation in local development initiatives.
