LOOK | STRENGTHENING THE YOUTH THROUGH NSTP ORIENTATION

On 15 August 2026, the 203rd Community Defense Center (CDC), 2RCDG, RESCOM, PA, under the leadership of LTC PAULO A ESPINOSA (FS) PA, Director, and MAJ ALVIN G CULANAG PA (RES), Commandant, in coordination with King’s College of the Philippines (KCP), led by Dr. Steve A. Solano, President, successfully conducted an NSTP Orientation attended by approximately 606 NSTP students of KCP.

The activity was conducted in support of the government’s Whole-of-Nation Approach, aimed at enhancing the students’ awareness and understanding of national security, safety, civic responsibility, and their important role in nation-building.

During the orientation, Ms. Genevieve A. Marquez, Chief Academic Officer, delivered a message to the students, while Mr. Kleam L. Kitano, NSTP/ROTC Coordinator, also graced the activity and shared his support for the program.

As part of the orientation, a resource speaker from the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA-2) discussed Security Awareness, while personnel from the 86th Infantry Battalion (86IB), 5ID, PA provided an orientation on the West Philippine Sea, highlighting the importance of informed and responsible citizenship in safeguarding the nation’s interests.

The activity emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation, community engagement, and youth empowerment in developing well-informed, responsible, resilient, and patriotic future leaders.

The successful conduct of the NSTP Orientation further strengthened the partnership between the 203rd CDC and KCP, while contributing to the continuing efforts of the Philippine Army and its stakeholders to instill the core values of Honor, Patriotism, and Duty among the youth.

LOOK | 203rd CDC Joins RESCOM wide Simultaneous Blood Donation Activity ICOW the 43rd RESCOM, PA Founding Anniversary.

The 203rd Community Defense Center (203rd CDC), 2RCDG, RESCOM, PA, led by LTC PAULO A ESPINOSA (FS) PA, Director, actively participated in the RESCOM wide Simultaneous 10th Blood Donation Activity in connection with the 43rd Founding Anniversary of Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA), with the theme: “ANG INYONG MATATAG NA TAGAPAG-BUO NG LAANG KAWAL.”

The activity was conducted at the Training Center, Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU)–Bambang Campus, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, and at the Convention Center, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

The blood donation activity was participated by the Personnel of the CDC, 203rd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (203rd RRIBn), six (6) activated ROTCUs, partner agencies and other stakeholders.The successful conduct of the activity was made possible through the strong collaboration and partnership between the 203rd CDC, Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital, and Philippine Red Cross–Bayombong Chapter, demonstrating the spirit of volunteerism, unity, and service to the community.

Through this initiative, the 203rd CDC and its partners continue to contribute in maintaining a safe and adequate blood supply for the people of Nueva Vizcaya, particularly for patients and individuals who may urgently require life-saving blood and in support to the program of “Dara ti Umili” of the Province.

LOOK | ADC FOR RESERVE FORCE DEVELOPMENT, 5ID, PA VISIT 203rd CDC and 203rd RRIBn

COLONEL CAMILO A SADDAM INF (GSC) PA, Assistant Division Commander for Reserve Force Development, 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, visited the 203rd Community Defense Center, Capitol Compound, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, on 13 August 2026.

COLONEL SADDAM was warmly welcomed by LTC PAULO A ESPINOSA (FS) PA, Director, together with the Battalion Staff of the 203rd RRIBn, led by MAJ JESUS J MANGAOANG PA (RES), Acting Commanding Officer, with MAJ FLODEMONTE S GERDAN PA (RES), Board Member, and MAJ EUFEMIA ANG DACAYO PA (RES), Vice Governor of the Province of Nueva Vizcaya.

During the visit, MAJ PERCIVAL LABOG PA (RES), Battalion S3, presented an information briefing, followed by an open forum and the evaluation of the Constructive Assessment Development Review Engagement (CADRE). The CADRE was conducted to assess the unit’s overall readiness, organizational capability, accomplishments, and compliance with established standards, as well as to identify existing gaps and areas for improvement in the development and management of the Reserve Force. It also aimed to provide appropriate recommendations and guidance to further enhance the operational readiness, administrative efficiency, and capability of the 203rd RRIBn.

As a result of the evaluation, the 203rd RRIBn received an overall rating of “VERY SATISFACTORY,” reflecting the unit’s continuing commitment to maintaining a capable, organized, and responsive Reserve Force.

A moment of leadership, unity, and shared commitment to service.

LTC PAULO A ESPINOSA (FS) PA, Director, 203rd CDC, together with MAJ JESUS A MANGAOANG PA (RES), Acting Commanding Officer, 203rd RRIBn; MAJ FLODEMONTE S GERDAN PA (RES), Board Member; and other Officers, Enlisted personnel and reservists of the Unit, warmly welcomed BGEN DARRELL R BAÑEZ PA, Commander, 501st Infantry (VALIANT) Brigade and party during his visit to 203rd CDC, 2RCDG, RCPA.

The engagement commenced with a unit briefing presented by LTC PAULO A ESPINOSA (FS) PA, Director, 203CDC, highlighting the unit’s accomplishments, units initiatives, and commitment in fulfilling its mandate in support to the Reserve Force mission. This was followed by an open forum, Commander’s guidance and talk to troops.

In his message, BGEN DARRELL R BAÑEZ PA, recognized the dedication, professionalism, and sacrifices of the personnel and reservists in the performance of their duties. He emphasized the importance of discipline, unity, readiness, and mission focus, while encouraging everyone to remain steadfast in their commitment to serving the Filipino people with honor and integrity.

More than a courtesy visit, the engagement served as a meaningful exchange of leadership, guidance, and inspiration, strengthening the harmonious relationship and coordination between the 501st Infantry Brigade, 86IB, 203rd CDC, 203rd RRIBn and ROTCUs. The visit further reaffirmed the shared commitment to a strong, capable, and mission-ready Reserve Force, working hand in hand with stakeholders in advancing peace, security, and development in the Province.

On 08 August 2026, the 203rd Community Defense Center (CDC), 2RCDG, RESCOM, PA, under the leadership of LTC PAULO A ESPINOSA (FS) PA, Director, in coordination with PLTCI, under the leadership of Mr. Raymund Louie Joseph O. Tiam, President, successfully conducted an NSTP Orientation attended by approximately 850 NSTP students of PLTCI.

The activity was conducted in support of the government’s Whole-of-Nation Approach, aimed at enhancing the students’ awareness on national security, safety, civic responsibility, and their vital role in nation-building.
