LEGISLATIVE UPDATE:

Committee on Ways and Means, chaired by Hon. Primo Percival J. Marcos, approved at the committee level the review of the Municipality of Aritao's Slaughterhouse and Meat Inspection Code and the 2026 Revised Revenue Code.
The approval is subject to strict compliance with DOF–DILG Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2019-01 and BLGF Memorandum Circular No. 020-2019, requiring the use of the Local Fees and Charges Toolkit to ensure that all local fees and charges are reasonable, justifiable, and responsive to the needs of the public.

LEGISLATIVE UPDATE:

The 12th Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Nueva Vizcaya UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED Municipal Ordinance No. 2026-08 of the Municipality of Bagabag following the favorable Joint Committee Report rendered by Hon. Primo Percival J. Marcos, Chairperson of the Committee on Ways and Means, together with the Committee on Health.

The ordinance prescribes affiliation and training fees for student trainees at the Rural Health Unit (RHU), ensuring sustainable support for quality healthcare training and effective public service.

Legislative Update:

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED the Committee Report of the Committee on Ways and Means on the review of Municipal Ordinance No. 2026-26 of the Municipality of Santa Fe, granting a temporary amnesty through the waiver of surcharges, interest, and penalties on the late payment of business taxes and regulatory fees in light of the declared State of National Energy Emergency.

This measure reflects the Provincial Board's commitment to supporting local government initiatives that provide relief to the business sector while promoting compliance and strengthening local economic recovery.

COMMITTE MEETING UPDATE

The Committee on Ways and Means, chaired by Hon. Primo Percival J. Marcos, has approved at the committee level the proposed ordinance of the Municipality of Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya granting temporary amnesty on surcharges, interests, and penalties for late payment of business taxes and regulatory fees during the declared State of National Energy Emergency.

The measure will now be reported to the plenary during the Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for further deliberation and appropriate action.

Commendation to the Local Government Unit of Santa Fe for its proactive initiative in providing relief to local businesses and taxpayers while promoting economic recovery and compliance within the municipality.

The ordinance seeks to grant recognition and cash incentives to PRC Licensure Examination Topnotchers, Board Passers, and Philippine Bar Examination Passers who are registered voters and bona fide residents of Alfonso Castañeda, Nueva Vizcaya.
